I just scored two tickets to see the Smashing Pumpkins tomorrow night. I had told my son, who turns 18 in mid-Nov. that we might get to go. He's excited...now I find out it's an 18+ show. Any ideas on how to make this work so I can bring him??
I missed the "tomorrow night" part. I think you're screwed. Unless you can convince someone at the door to give you a break, I mean geez, he misses the cutoff by only a few months.
I say take him. If they ask for ID, try telling them he doesn't have any on him since you were driving, paying etc. You may be okay. Unless your son still looks extremely young. Then I would try pleading and tell him that he is 18 in a few months.
Although, I wonder why they have it as 18+ to get in. I don't know if I have ever seen that. Not that I get to many concerts.

I think the 18+ has to do with that it's a free show sponsored by AT&T and Samsung. I'm guessing that they don't want to market to kids.
It's funny cuz the tix are only given out by a local radio station, but the station says they have nothing to do with the age limit to call Hard Rock Live who tell me the same thing......
Oh, if that's the case SG I bet they'll let him slip by, he's close enough that they'd still want him to be buying his phone and service from them right?
I thought it was because the venue served alcohol or something.
