Happy Monday

Good Monday morning to you all

It's a happy Monday - it's a public holiday here so no work for the majority.....

Here. I had problems getting to sleep at first. I slept good once I did though. My dreams lately seem to have a theme. I'm always being faced with choices. One was which best friend to do something with. Both all of a sudden wanted to do something. Do I tell the guy that I like him? Can I accept him for who he is?

So apparently something is bugging me. Could it just be preparing for the dance show?

Oh and I find it funny that had a dream about my best friend (I only have one by the way)- I missed her birthday! So I gotta call her today. But in my defense I've been a little mad at her and I guess I didn't feel she was a priority. She has not called me once since I've moved. I called her when we got the 2nd flood. I haven't spoke to her since.

Carry on

Hi all,
Happy Monday. I had a great weekend.... Not only was the weather absolutely fabulous, not too hot, warm and sunny and nice and cool in the evening.

Friday went out w/ old friends, and sang Karaoke..yes I did sing.
Saturday I went to ... "My name is Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid Rock w/ Lynyrd Skynyrd! Which was probably one of the best concerts I have been to in a very long time. I loved Lynyrd Skynyrd, but Kid Rock wow, he blew me away~~! But since it was a Saturday night, all the drunk people kind of annoyed me. There were so many of them...too many!

A tailgating photo.... I didn't take many inside the concert, we had lawn seats so my pictures were too far away!

Worked yesterday, and I'm here today at work also.

Good morning, all. It's Monday and I'm back at the office. Delivered Pambo the thimbles I bought for her on my trip. Now, I need a nap!

DS, That is priceless! Isaac says he has the recipe for disaster!?!?! That is too funny! I hope he does not give you too much grief, but at least he is trying to warn you that he may have a mind to bake up a big ol' batch.

Morning all.

Last night I tried popping some Tylenol PM at Web's urging.  He said they work like a charm for Mrs. Web when she can't sleep.

I went from wide awake to droopy eyed in 15 minutes, but when I went to bed at about midnight (15 - 20 minutes after taking the pills) it made no difference.  I tossed and turned until 3:30 again.  I did sleep well AFTER that though, getting up at 10.

Maybe two of the Tylenol just wasn't enough for me.  I'll try again tonight.

And you don't have a "hangover" from them? I'm groggy for hours after I take that stuff...and I take a lot of different pain meds.

Oh, I almost forgot.

I had the weirdest dream last night.  My sister and I lived at home yet and our Dad was still alive.  Dad was sitting in his chair watching TV, Erica and I were sitting on the couch.  Mom was off in the kitchen.

Soon, I saw three tornado's off in the distance though the living room window, I told everyone we needed to get to the basement.  For some reason we went outside first, all of us, and we saw someone stealing my neighbors dog (a dog which has been dead for twenty years).  Stuff was starting to fly around.  I was yelling for everyone to get down into the basement but we all went to the backyard instead.

The fence back there was still as tall as we were (it's a wooden fence and until about 15 years ago was 7 feet tall, but since has been cut down to about 4 feet), from back there we could see several tornado's, one of which was almost right above us.  Wood and other things were flying by us super fast, I again said we HAD to get to the basement but Dad said we were fine so far.  I kind of mocked his voice a little and said "oh we're fine so far are we?" then I told him that most tornado fatalities are from flying debris, not the tornado itself.

Just then a TMJ News 4 helicopter was over us and taking shots of us for the news.  I was thinking that it sucked because it was probably live so we wouldn't get to see ourselves later on the news.  The reporter holding the camera was screaming at the pilot to keep the helicopter steady, but he must have been struggling from the wind because he was swerving from side to side.  At one point the blades of the copter came awful close to chopping Dad in half and I remember thinking that "here we go again, we knew we were going to lose him soon".  It was as if in the dream I was fed up with the fact that I keep re-losing him.

This actually plays into a recurring dream I have.  The dream is never the same but always has the same idea behind it.  I dream that Dad is back, but DID in fact die already.  Somehow he has come back to life for just a short while.  We have no idea how long he'll be with us, but it's always in the back of our mind that he could be gone again at any time.  I'll even joke with him about it now and then.

Then I woke up.   Yeesh.

It would be hard for me to tell as I'm naturally groggy.  I am NOT a morning person.  no.gif

That's a pretty intense dream! Amongst all the rest of my crazy dream stuff I already posted, I just remembered that I was going to see Dylan. We apparently lived in the same state and he was just down the street. My husband's ex- wife was in my dream (again- that is getting on my nerves) and she kept yakking at me like we were friends and she was delaying me. Why we were in the same house I have no idea. I was walking to Dylan's when I woke up.

Sorry, it didn't work for you, JR. My wife said that they (Tylenol) have a new night time medicine that is the sleepy part of "PM" but it doesn't have the pain reliever part.

I've never tried the Tylenol PM because my wife says that it really knocks her out cold. I'm afraid if I had a server issue at 3:00am, I may not be able to wake up well enough to fix the problem. She says she occasionally has the hangover feeling but not usually.

Benedryl doesn't make me "sleepy" as much as it helps me relax. I usually have that "relaxed" or almost "weak" feeling until about noon the next day so I can't use Benedryl if I know I gotta get up and do a bunch of physical work the next day.

It's alright Web. It might be why I slept soundly after I finally did fall asleep.

Maybe I'll take a couple a few hours before bed tonight and see if that works.

JR, Biegelow Teas makes one called Sweet Dreams. It has more than just chamomile in it.
Try that, with tylenol pm. As a true warrior of insomnia, I have a bunch of tricks.

(Including a huge jar of ambien--sometimes even the ambien does not work)

Glad to see you back sparky,

woo: wish I could be closer, you have been an awesome friend.

Cool dream JR.

Another natural thing that is supposed to work is Valerian. It's in some of those chamomile sleepytime teas. I have some powdered Valerian at home too.
