Seems like 3 is a better number to me. Aren't they going to have deadlocks now about who goes to hollywood and who doesn't?
The new judge is Kara DioGuardio whos songs have been recorded by Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood and Pink, among others.
Probably trying to shore up the sagging viewership. Personally, I never watch the show. I see the clips of it on the news and other shows, but I spend enough time working on capacity issues related to supporting their call in events that I'm not at all interested in the ongoings of the show itself.

60 million call attempts over some wackadoo named Sanjaya? I had to watch the news to find out what THAT was all about. I was shocked to learn that it was just voting as to keeping him on the show. I thought maybe it was people calling to offer to shoot the rabid badger off the top of his head.

Paula Abduls reign as the lone female voice on American Idols judging panel is over, and shes not convinced thats such a good idea.

While the shows executive producer, Simon Fuller, confidently announced that Kara will bring a new level of energy and excitement to the show, the resident softy remained unconvinced.
They always tried for a fourth judge because it followed the format of the original show, Pop Idol, Paula said. We havent had much luck with that working, but were going to give it another try.
Paulas biggest concern seems to be that an extra judge could mean less power for her and more for her on-screen nemesis, Simon.
Thats going to be weird if its a split decision, she said. Im sure Simon will get to make the final (judgment). (But that) takes the fun out of all the hard work I do to push those kids through.
We have four judges on 'X Factor' here (our American Idol) and split decsions are left to Simon, after all he is really the boss, very rarely happens though.
