Alright, enough fun stuff. Hope you all have a wonderful three day weekend. Mine is packed full of fun and work.
Today we travel to the South Bend area for soccer. Morgan has a doubleheader today. We leave in about an hour and won't be home until 9:00 or so tonight.
Sunday and Monday I'm working the local broadcast of the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Sunday it's 6:00pm to midnight and Monday it's 7:30am to whenever we get the truck packed up. Probably around 9:00pm It's all good though. The money is going to our 42 or 46 inch LCD TV fund.
Well it's off to the shower then to Starbucks and then to South Bend!
On tap for today is lots of getting ready for tomorrow. We really need to clean house. I want my house to look cleaner than my mom's for when my sister spends the night tomorrow (which really, isn't that hard to do).
Tomorrow and Monday we're going to the big drag races in Indy. So we'll have to so stuff like pack lunches, and I've already got some bottles of water in the freezer. Unfortunately, it's supposed to be hot.
Yesterday was crowded, but pretty mellow. We ended up watching Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in the afternoon, then Black Crowes from the lawn area of the Harley Stage. It seemed really crowded up front, but from the back you could see and hear them just fine. It was like being at the park for the 4th of july. Nicer people in the back.
My friends, The Invaders, were slated to play one of the side stages off the grounds at 4 pm, and then 6. Then they sent out a message that it was just gonna be a 5:15 to 6 pm show. It turns out that they went on and did a 3:15 to 4:00 show. They were so mad about that. They got a call at like 2:00- you guys are on in like an hour, where are you!? Very disorganized. They were selling Miller Products at a Leinenkugel tent because, well, "thats what they bought us....".
I did get the Invaders new cd from them tho, to feature on the station. they are a fun ska band. I'm gonna feature a bunch of tracks from the cd tomorrow night during Underground 80s and College Daze, and then JR I'd like to send you some of the burned files to add to the request system, if ya would.
Bruce Springsteen is tonight! Gonna head out in about a 1/2 hr to find good parking, and walk around a bit on the grounds before the show.

I hate cleaning house. It's like I clean something and find something else dirty. And now, something's wrong with the vacuum. I think it just needs a new belt, but I'm not bothering with it today. We can go a couple extra days with cat hair on the carpet. At this point, I don't care.
And I have the bathroom from hell to clean yet. It's our half bath, and I rarely use it, but Brian and the cats trash it. That's where the big litter box is, and there's litter all over the place. And that's the bathroom Brian uses to clean out the fishtanks, but doesn't wipe up afterwards. I'm waiting until he gets home so he can help me clean it.
At this point, I'm fed up cleaning. If I wasn't expecting company, I'd be perfectly comfortable living in a pigsty.
Day one of the big kite fly is over. We had too much wind and tomorrow is supposed to be the same or even worse. There were kites up, but about 1/3 what we usually have when we have a better wind range. I had my "Power Sled" up and really had to fight it to get it to come back down. I bought a new dog today. He's pretty cool.
Listening to Husker football . . . its 7-0 Huskers!
Now, we have to get ready to go to my grandmother's 85th birthday supper. It is just a family gathering at the cafe. I don't know if we are doing anything after that or not.
RE: SWEEP OF THE DAY FULL LISTING I'm fine. Just got back from soccer. All day up in South Bend. Morgan nearly scored in each game. Her best shot hit the crossbar from about 20 yards out. Six inches lower and she would have had her first goal of the year! They tied both games, 0-0 and 1-1. They're 1-1-2 for the year. They are veteran team but they lost key seniors last year and they are struggling to find some leadership and consistant play.
It was sunny all day, not a cloud in the sky, low humidity and about 85. Couldn't have been any better.
How's your clan and SC?
Better not mess with JR's thread.
I am good. We are loving our new puppy and I am ready for the summer heat to wane. It will be in the 90s all week though and hurricane season looms.
My family is good. School is rolling, even little E is in school now!
kindergarten and with 25 of them, no pets! She is a handful and a talker... she will probably never be pet. At least not til she realizes how to be one! She is a drama queen for sure!
I have one almost out of school and one just starting- it is crazy!
