It really is: It's Friday!

I really don't have anything interesting to say here, but hey, it's Friday.

Good day all!

I had some stuff to do before getting on here. Now I can go back to my routine. Today I tried to actually style my hair. I shouldn't have bothered. As soon as I walked outside the wind picked up my hair and tossed it to the other side. Oh yeah and it was kinda raining. Tonight hubby has a haircut scheduled. Tomorrow the girl has an equestrian competition in the afternoon.

Happy Friday!

oh hello. nerd.gif
today is not a casual dress friday for me. I have to be at a client site at 11 am for a meeting. I'm not sure why this guy, a good guy mind you, would want to meet at 11 am on a friday. Most of them cats are gone or work from home on a friday. Hopefully it will only take an hour.

YAY! Friday! Short weeks are always the longest...
Isaac (5yr old) had an appointment with the pediatric eye doctor yesterday -- he needs glasses because he has developed a lazy eye. he seems receptive to it, but that could all change when we pick them up next week...

That's my big news...

Smiles Everyone! The weekend is within reach!

Argh! My doctor wanted to operate on my lazy eye and I cried and begged and pleaded with my mom not to do it. I never had the operation. I actually have 2 lazy eyes. Most people don't notice though. They usually only drift when I look in the mirror.  hmm

My friend had the operation in her teens and then had to wear a patch for awhile.

Hi All! Yep, its FINALLY Friday. YIPPEE!! Despite last night's abortive attempt at getting some momentum in my big project, I'm headed for the office. Got my Larry Johnson dress on... hopefully it will be a good day.

Hey, heading out the door. Did a couple things from home and now off to meet a few new customers...I hope. Lunch with one of our branches then an early exit for the weekend.

both his are lazy too, one worse, but you really can't tell anything is abnormal... the doc says if in a couple months the glasses don't significantly correct the eye, then he'll have to wear a patch..

arrrgh... aye matey! ashamed.gif

Hi there, I wish I was happy. I am actually off today to go looking for apartments.

When my mortgage and bills that are half in my Ex's name come to the house, I'll ask him for money, then he tells me he doesn't have the money to help me because he is saving for an apartment, and then yesterday I saw his checkbook (he was giving me a ride to the mechanic to pick up my car [that cost me $100 to repair!] and stopped to withdraw money at his bank) and I saw how he wrote a check to his ex wife who he hasn't been married to for 5 years, for $700!!! And he gave me nothing but a BS story lastmonth when I asked for help w/ the bills on his mortgage!!

And he also gives her an additional $150 per week garnished out of his paycheck for child support, pays her health insurance, and then this... the extra $700!!! When I get the big FAT $0!!!!
I am looking at apartments today and moving out, this house can get foreclosed on, I can't do it anymore!!
I truly can't! Lots of prayers for me, thanks...

my house is on the market.. it's on the market right now for $50K less than I paid for it over 2 years ago......

Can the economy and my life get any worse... I hope 2008 ends soon, and 2009 is better! I need something to go right for me once in awhile.
Thank god I won that flat screen TV last month, I was able to sell it and pay my mortgage with the money, it recooped my loss from the deadbeat Ex.

Darlene, I hope your house woes are settled as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Ex's are Ex's for a reason.

Good morning folks and folkettes. hmm.gif

Darlene, I hope things turn around for you soon.

Woo, you're eyes probably aren't lazy they just lack motivation.  (That's what my guidance counseler used to tell me in high school anyway, when I'd try to explain why I didn't do my homework)

JD, it still annoys me on some deep level that in 2008 we still as a society feel a need to dress up to impress another person who is dressing up to impress us. As if a long colorful rag tied around a tight collar choking our neck somehow makes us smarter. I just don't get it. Every time I hear someone say "Oh, I had to suit up today because I got a big meeting" it just makes me shake my head.

Disco, glasses aren't so bad anymore. I bet he'll be ok with them.

As for my day, I knew I had an item coming that would arrive and need my signature. I knew this item could arrive anytime between 9 AM yesterday and 9 PM tonight. Somehow I knew that it would be closer to 9 PM tonight, even though I had to stay tied to the apartment "just in case". hmm.gif

I hope it gets here soon. I'm feeling a little stir crazy. I need to get out and go somewhere. ANYWHERE.

It's funny, I've gone two days without leaving the apartment before and it's never bothered me. But knowing I CAN'T leave is what's driving me crazy. hmm.gif

Think of how many of societies problems would be solved if we were all born without eyes!

Of course, we'd have a whole new set of problems, like an alarming number of deaths from people accidentally walking off cliffs hmm.gif

Morning all. Just getting in here to say hi. Billing finally is closed so I may now start my month end work. Then the CFO stopped by. Lucky me. Glad I had the answers for him though. And then other people have come or gone by and I couldn't even finish my post. How silly.

Happy Friday.

Oh, and for the eyes, I have a lazy eye too. I used to do the glasses thing and the patch thing. I survived okay.

The people in the office for our townhouses are idiots. They just sent out an e-newsletter. THe newsletter was an attached Publisher file. And, they didn't blind CC the residents.

Hm, if they don't care about their residents' privacy, maybe I should dance naked outside the office window...

Mz, the first bill statement at this apartment we got contained 2 other residents bills and then ours wasn't even right. When we brought them back, the leasing consultant said we weren't even supposed to get one that month and that it was the property mgr's doing. no.gif

Darlene, we will be your friends no matter what. I feel for what you are going through. I'm fortunate to still have my house at this point with the loss of the auto shop... still could end up losing it if things bounce wrong. You definitely have my thoughts and prayers.

My daughter-in-law Debbie has a lazy eye. She wears contact lenses now... you can't tell when she is wearing them.

Happy Friday all!!

Darlene, best of luck to you!  Sorry you have to let your home go into foreclosure, but it's probably the best thing to do at this point.  Hopefully when all is said and done, it will help you out of the money crunch you've been in.

DS, hope your son likes his glasses when he picks them up.  My youngest daughter had a lazy eye and had to have surgery on it back when she was 4; her's was so bad the doctor said she'd permanently lose the sight in it without surgery.  Did the eye doctor put a prizm in his glasses??  I've heard that those can help strengthen the eye muscles and correct the lazy eye.
