I'm at church. The guy I normally meet with this time of Sunday morning was gone all week and he was not able to prepare, so we're not meeting. This gives me time to kill, so I went and got a donut and am now hiding out in the sound booth and eating that donut. Its yummy.
I think my grandma is having trouble this morning. I got back here and she was sitting here in the sanctuary all by herself. When I got to her, the pastor's wife was already talking to her and invited her to Sunday School. It turns out grandma was messed up on her time and came an hour early. Its not that she was here early, but that she seems confused and thought it was an hour later than it really is.
Not much planned today. Yesterday we went to the girl's equestrian competition which lasted all day. She was not scheduled to compete until the end of the day and then her horse got sick. The had to medicate him and she could not compete because she did not register a back-up horse. So after spending a day being ignored by her and "her family" we didn't even get to see her compete. My husband once again says that he is ready to give up on her (because we are treated like 2nd class citizens) We shall see. I am so tired of picking up the pieces of her breaking his heart. On a cool note the special needs girl from her team won 1st place for the 2man relay race. This was who was supposed to ride with our girl in the race. I'm sorry to say that had she had her original partner she would not have got 1st place. Our girl is afraid to the let the horse run that fast. She thinks she goes fast but she doesn't.

Top of the morning to everyone. I woke up with a sore neck yesterday and it stuck with me all day. Today I woke up and it's still there so it's time to start medicating. Hopefully a fist full of Advil will eliminate the pain. If not we'll give our friend Jack Daniels a shot at it later this afternoon.
I got two teams to root on today and tomorrow! GO JETS GO!!! Brett's getting ready to start the season that will make Thompson & McCartney look like idiots for letting him go!
Tomorrow the Packers get to show off their "new & improved" *cough cough* offense to the world on Monday Night Football.
Today the Brewers try to win the series against the Padres and increase their wild-card lead.
Fuzzies Phillies play a double header against their division rival the NY Mets. If they were to sweep they could be in first place!! If they lost both to the Mets (NO WAY!) they'd be four back and hopes of a division title would be slipping away.

Today, the Colts are going to seek revenge on the Bears.
But at this moment, I'm sitting at the laundrymat. IU starts classes tomorrow, which means the town is drowning in students. A group of girls came in to do their laundry for obviously their first time. It was really hard to keep from laughing. One girl couldn't figure out how to put the quarters in, another couldn't figure out how to start the washer. Then all of them were confused about why not all the lights (wash, rinse, spin) were lit up. They complained about the washers being $1.50 each, yet I don't think any of them filled a washer up. I saw one girl separate her bag of less than a load into three washers. Then she couldn't figure out how to wash one item after another, "Is this washable?" Another girl had to come over to read the tag for her.
It's times like these where I'm glad I was raised poor. I was doing my own laundry at the laundrymat when I was 6.
And so many schools have done away with Home Ec...
This is why I try to use the laundrymat on our property, I'm going to kill someone before my laundry's dry. Today I'm washing some sheets and blankets, so I needed a bigger washer than what we have. And we only have 6 washers and dryers for 92 houses, and I would've needed 4 or 5 with the bedding, so there's no way we'd get the ones we needed on a Sunday, nevertheless the Sunday before school starts.
I put my first load in the dryer, and the door wouldn't close. The second dryer I tried, I put my 3 quarters in, and it wouldn't start. Then I went to get the blankets out of the big washer, and someone was starting to open it! I had to say, "Excuse me, those are my clothes."
At least I'm not going grocery shopping after this. I'd end up getting arrested for assault.
Hi all!! I spent the day cleaning house and doing laundry. Ugh, glad to have my chores done!!
My dad just left and I'm kind of worried about him tonight. He didn't look too good while he was here. He said he hasn't felt good all weekend and has had a headache since Friday; my dad never gets a headache so something's not right with him. He also told me his blood levels are all messed up again......his blood is running thick right now so Thursday the doctor increased the amount of Coumadin he has to take. With his blood being too thick and the headache he's had for a couple of days I'm concerned tonight. I think I'm gonna call him later on just to check on him, make sure he's ok.

I just talked to my dad and he said he still isn't feeling too good, so I sent my daughter over to pick him up, bring him here to our house tonight. He was game for it without any argument so he really must not be feeling so great. I'll feel better having him here tonight instead of home alone. I think he's thinking the same as me.....blood running too thick and a terrible headache isn't a good combination. If he's not feeling any better tomorrow or still looks as bad as he does tonight, I'm gonna take him to the doctor in the morning.
Thanks JD. I'm just worried about the possibility of him having a stroke. I'll be up off and on through the night checking on him. His blood levels have been messed up before and it's never bothered me, but there's just something about the way he looks tonight that isn't sitting well with me. Might not be anything, but still, I'd rather he be here instead of at home alone.
I'll say a prayer for you guys tonight before bed Ghost. I hope it's nothing.
I ordinarily just want to be left alone when I'm sick. But back in March when I got REALLY sick and couldn't walk my Mom offered to stay over and I jumped at it. I would ordinarily never let her put herself out like that but I was sick enough that I wanted to know someone was there if something happened. It was a great comfort knowing she was out in the living room on the couch.
Thanks JR. I think it will help him too, knowing that somebody's around just in case. I was actually surprised when he said ok without any arguing.....I was all set to go over and stay with him whether he liked it or not. I have a key so he can't lock me out, haha.
