Bummer way to open the new field MZ hmm.gif

Peyton just did not look like himself.  Hopefully this is just a small bump in the road for you guys.

HOPEFULLY it's the only game the Bears with this year!  nod.gif

The Eagles played well. Apparently the Rams aren't quite ready this year. Or at least not right now. Things were expected of them. Didn't really happen. We had a few key guys out and the others stepped up. It was like a warm up game and I am okay with that. The true test will come next Monday night Eagles/Cowgirls. That will be a tough game.

Eagles!

Unfortunately, Peyton is still recovering from an infection this summer.  He was taking antibiotics that were making him naseous and I heard he lost 20-30 pounds.  So he's kind of working himself back up.

And there were some stupid mistakes, like the safety in the 2nd quarter.

The new stadium looks awesome though, doesn't it?

I'm going to go back to sulking now.

Lucas Field DOES look amazing.  I was quite impressed.

The Eagles were pretty impressive too Fuzzy.

Sorry Ruby, I think the Bears just had the highlight of their season.  I fully expect them to return to the stumblin', bumblin' ways next week. wink.gif

I didn't get to watch the Jets game because the fine folks at CBS thought I'd be more interested in the Pittsburgh game.  They were mistaken!!!!

I did get to see his two TD passes on highlights though, they were typical Favre TD's.  I think he's going to have another great year!  Plus now with the Patriots severely damaged, they got two decent shots at wins that previously you assumed they'd lose.

AND the division might be wide open!  Everything is fallin' Bretts way!  nod.gif

I warned you about that whole Pittsburgh thing. I am closer to the Jets than the Steelers and I get the Steelers more often than not. That sucks. I want to see other teams. If we can get the Steelers playing more 4pm games, we may see the Jets if they are playing at 1pm. No guarantees though. We maynot get a 1pm game, just the 4pm game. I hate that. Why can't they just show two football games on each channel every week?

Ooooooooooooooooooh!!!   I KNOW!!!

You mean the Nebraska Huskers!

Well you see, this is the wrong thread then.  This is the FOOTBALL thread, you're looking for the "Boys that one day MAY play REAL football thread".  That one hasn't been started yet.  no.gif

I think it is harvest time. Maybe it's the guys in the field harvesting the corn.

I don't know but it's frustratin'.  hmm.gif  This area is just weird anyway for how they partition their sports.  I'm sure it's because there's so many teams out here.  I'm still fuming over the whole baseball blackout thing.

Someone needs to tell me why in a state with no baseball I can't watch the Orioles, Nationals, Braves, Reds or whatever the heck the fifth one was.

The Brewers play the Reds 6 times in the next week and a half and I have to miss them all!  These are huge games!  I might even miss the Brewers clinching the wild card if they do it next week against the Reds.

Oh, thats right . . . you believe that the only "real" football is "professional" (as in wrestling) football.

Pfft, and this coming from someone who watches baseball for "excitement". no.gif

Riggs, I have noticed since I moved here, they show who is popular or winning... not by territory. We used to have every Bears game in 1987, now they are showing them again after a 15 year stretch of nothing.

And I still don't understand how Milwaukee games can't be picked up. They are sooooooooooooooooo far away from you.

Happy that Chicago won, Ruby!! clap.gif I hate Payton Manning.
I started a football thread this morning, not a good one, but I did about tom brady.

Favre won yesterday..to Miami though, so that isn't all that impressive. Let him play a good challenging team, to really see if he still has it.

Oh, he still has it. He was just getting warmed up. Don't forget, it was a month to the day that he was traded. His only training camp came during the pre-season games. The guy is about two months behind everyone else.

You watch, you'll see! With Brady out of the picture Brett's gonna be M.V.P. (yes that rhymed on purpose. I'm a poet and YOU KNOW IT!!! nana.gif

I'm with MZ on this one!   A BIG OL' furious TO YOU RUBY!!!

Those stinky Bears don't even HAVE a quarterback.  I swear, I've never seen a team go for four straight years with the attitude of "well, as long as our QB doesn't HURT us we're ok"

It's as if Lovie Smith would be fine with just putting a tackling dummy back there and having the running back and defense do all the work.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh I hate the Bears so much it HURTS!!  angered.gif

I was quite honestly stunned the Colts lost. Not unhappy...just stunned.

I was even more stunned that the Chiefs actually had a shot at winning the game there at the last. I watched the first quarter and part of the second but then left to go run errands. Kinda says a lot when the Patriots lost Brady and STILL won the game. Gonna be a rough year at Arrowhead. Hopefully Brady will be back this season...that was a bummer.

I'd rather have no quarterback than a quarterback who says he is retiring, then not, then retiring, then not.... even his own team had had ENOUGH of him!smile
