RE: No football talk?

I think Orton did very well- not picking out one receiver over another- he made contact with them all! We will see what you will be saying in the morning! It is ez to talk smack NOW!

What are you talking about? Aaron Rodgers is our quarterback now. nana.gif

Maaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnn... Brody Croyle is our QB... used to be our third string, abruptly became the front man. He's okay in the clutch, but he doesn't seem to be a full game guy.

I watched some of the Packers/Vikings game and I thought both teams sucked. Maybe it is just because it is the first game and everyone is still settling in. There were tons of penalties and players just didn't look good.

They go based on who's most likely to stay in first the whole year nod.gif

I thought the Packer's game was good! Rodgers did a great job for game one. Can't say much for the Raiders... not that I would, but I was hoping they would beat the Broncos.

The penalties were ugly, but they'll clean those up. Most of them were made by veterans that know better. I'd be more worried if it looked like we had a bunch of undisciplined rookies.

Rodgers was indeed impressive for his first game.

There were some particularly unnecessary things going on. Hall was WAY out of line. It's amazing no one got seriously hurt. Reminded me of the old days when playing rough and dirty was the normal course of business for that team. It's probably why I don't like them much.

In fairness to Ruby, as much as it pains me to admit...

The Bears did look good against the Colts.  They seem to have gotten back to their formula of solid defense and good special teams with just enough offense to win.

Ironically, that seems to be the same formula the Packers will be using this year.

It looks like the Bears and Packers in the NFC North.  UNtil the Vikings upgrade at QB, that is the impression after week one.

well I for one was pretty impressed with Arron Rodgers running game. It was nice to see a quarterback that creates a viable running threat, kinda ala Michael Vick...

HE does have some good wheels JD.  One thing I noticed too, they actually use the QB sneak with him in short yardage.  They werent able to do that with Brett.

I think he is the real deal.  HE doesnt have 17 years of experience, but Favre only went 8-5 his first year.  So there may be some growing pains, but I see an 11 win season.

Any predictions JD?

hard to predict yet for me, D. I mean his confidence, and the teams and fans confidence in him just had to triple across the boards last night. He played against really a very good defencive team too. I am sincerely hoping he is able to play at that level & be consistent. A little less shoot at the hip gunslinger style than Brett, better legs than Brett....I am excited for him! 11 wins would be just superb!
