That is why I got it in the first place. I hate listening to commercials. The unit I have has a remote control to facilitate channel surfing. I LOVE IT!!!

That's the best part about it. Same station works everywhere. My older son lives about an hour and a half drive from me, way in the sticks in Missouri. I like that drive a lot better since I don't have to try to keep a signal. The down side is that sometimes the signal does drop in the city. Only gets spotty reception once I enter the Sprint Campus grounds.

For the most part, yeah. We don't have a lot of tunnels around here, so the signal is mostly good. The campus thing is just a result of concrete, rebar, and line of site blockage in some places.
The only other oddity is that sometimes I pick up the audio from the TV/DVD systems in other vehicles if they are close to me. It's pretty rare that it happens, but I remember being freaked out one morning because I was half zoned out driving to work when all of a sudden Yosemite Sam was talking to me.

Took me a minute to figure out what the deal was with that. There was a minivan next to me with Bugs Bunny on the DVD. Suddenly the geek in me kicks in and I gotta figure out what the range is on that signal, so I was doing the speed up/slow down thing. I think I scared the lady driving the van. Interestingly enough, it seemed to be clear as a bell within about 8 feet of her.

I have to say I have enjoyed Sirius. It came for six months free when I bought the car. I still channel surf, but not as often. And it is not because of commercials or someone yapping in my ear.

Once you go Satellite Radio, there is no turning back.....I really should be listening to over the air radio to find potential advertisers for the billboards I sell....but commercial free music (75+ different syles of music and genres) makes me never listen....I prospect other ways!
