Yes, this is a rant about a candy bar. There are few candy bars I can have, and I've checked Kit Kat's before, and they're safe.
I pick up a Kit Kat bar today that says, "Bonus Bar, 36% more free!" I think, rock on, more chocolately wafer goodness.
Later, I open up the package, and instead of the 4 sticks, it's 2 big sticks. WTH?! After a taste test, I prefer the little sticks. It's part of the nostalgia of Kit Kats, and the sensory part of eating a Kit Kat is a big part of the experience.
So then I do a quick web search to see if I can figure out if this is a permanent change. They're changing the logo!! Old logo:

When it comes to my favorite foods, change is bad. And then I think about a huge mistake I made when I decided to pick up my "Michelle-safe" candy bar. I periodically double check the ingredients when I buy things even though I've checked them before, because like I said, change is bad. But I didn't check it this time. Sure enough, 7th ingredient, right before the 2% or less statement, "corn syrup solids."

So far I'm okay, just a bit of a headache. Hopefully there was little enough in it that the headache is the worst I'll have.
