My eye is better. The acupuncture doctor poked & shocked a different set of meridians as a test. Apparently I passed. He called me this morning to ask how I was doing. (What kind of doctor does THAT?) My pain went from an 8 (on a scale of 1-10) to a 3. The doctor praised me for getting better (again, who does that?) and wrote it in my chart that when the eye is going, put the pins in the heels.
How this junk worked...I dunno. I don't want it to work, but it just does.
You didn't miss anything. It's the same thing I was out for a couple of years ago.
I have something called Trigeminal Neuralgia. Google it. It sounds scary. And it is. It's a horribly painful syndrome. They don't know what causes it or how to cure it. All I hope for it to go into remission and to be able to function. So far, no remission.
I've had surgery, trying to fix it. Didn't work. I take about 20 pills a day. Kinda works...sometimes. I have about 8 different pain meds that I'm allowed to take, but I can't function on them so I don't take them unless the pain gets really bad.
So, it got bad over the weekend & stayed bad. I medicated & it didn't help. I had to go to my acupuncture doctor. I decided to try acupuncture after 2 years of hurting most of the time. It helps a lot. I don't even BELIEVE in alternative medicine...but helped me anyway.
That's the good part of having a house with a lot of stairs. Mommy is downstairs or in the basement. Grandpa is in the living room (main floor) or outside. Grandma is upstairs in her room. Works great for the sugary "Go find Mommy."
