Okay, so we have threads for that which we love and for that which we hate... how about one for what we wish for? I thought of this today because:
I wish I could have just one grandkid with a normal, common name. My daughter in law told me that they think they have picked the new baby's name: Merrit. Yep... Merrit. Boy or girl. Merrit.

Yeah, that's the good, right? Out of everything bad something good can come. Plus, I'm still hoping things will turn around for you.
Both of my grandfathers were fall down drunks until they were in their 50's. They both turned it around and by the time I knew them were the sweetest men you'd ever known.
The horror stories my Mom & Dad could tell about their Dads coming home drunk are just shocking.
Even when things seem incredibly dark. There's ALWAYS hope.
My Mom & Dad were always leery about telling me things from their childhood because they didn't want to taint my image of my grandfathers. But I swear, knowing that they pulled themselves up from addiction like that to become the loving people they were when I knew them just makes me respect them that much more.
I wish the Brewers would pull their collective heads out of their a**es and realize they are still only 2 back with 7 to play. Three of those are against a team they whoop up on, three are against a Cubs team that should be coasting and one is against a crappy team they should be beating.
They could STILL win this thing if they get it in gear NOW!
Well, you could Pooka the ethanol plant that I grew up by that likely contributed to the allergy, but that plant is probably helping the shred of economy that we have left.
