morning. I probably won't be around. I just got handed the phones. Plus I need to do payroll and this is the week that might be short due to jury duty. This is not a good way to start out my week

Good day all.

My stomach is still a bit upset. I have a meeting with the IU Chemistry department at 9:30 for a big job, but the rest of my day seems pretty quiet.

Fall Equinox
The science and significance of the autumnal equinox

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Autumnal equinox is a sure sign of fall.In the language of science, an equinox is either of two points on the celestial sphere where the ecliptic and the celestial equator intersect. For the rest of us, it's one of two times a year when the Sun crosses the equator, and the day and night are of approximately equal length.

At the autumnal equinox (Sept 22, 2008; 11:44:18 A.M. EDT), the Sun appears to cross the celestial equator, from north to south; this marks the beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.

Mornin'

What a night . . . we had thunderstorms roll through and man were they putting down some serious lightening. We got some rain, but the lightening was crazy off and on for several hours. Lots of really close, loud strikes.

I'm a little stiff and sore from bending over shingling yesterday.

Happy first day of fall . . . next stop, winter.

Morning all. Seems to still be beautiful weather. I don't like that Fall is upon us. Yes, it is pretty, but we all know what follows it.

Pretty good sports weekend here in town. Big win by the Eagles and the Phillies took two of three to remain in first place.

Ooooooooooooooouch.

My neck hurts more than ever today. I don't get it. No matter how I sleep I wake up with a pain in the neck always in the same spot. It's been that way for four or five days not, and some days it's not so bad and seems to go away by the end of the day. I don't think that'll be the case today because it's the worst it's been yet. cry.gif

Stoooopid Neck.

I hope everyone else has a good day, and is neck pain free smile.gif

Sing it with me: M-O-N-D-A-Y-S-U-C-K-S!

I just rolled into the office a few minutes ago. I actually logged in from home around 7:30 to check e-mails, expecting a depressing announcment for my department. Nope... but what I did have was an irritating e-mail from a nimrod I work with... sent Sunday morning. I'll probably have to deal with a complaint about not getting back to him until today... though I have no obligation to check my work e-mail over the weekend. I might have to voodoo doll this clown before too long.

Otherwise, it's a beautiful day outside. 60's now, on the way to 80 by this afternoon. smile.gif

Good morning everyone! Of course, since everyone else is already having a problem day...I'm actually in a fairly decent mood. My knee is killing me, but all is well on the work front.

Oh yeah, I did get an email this morning that normally would have made me mad, but this morning I laughed at it. It told me that a billing error we had is "a fluke, and we are not sure what happend" such a technical response, but it is the answer I got from someone who supposedly knows what they are talking about at a company that will remain nameless, but two people here work for it. You know who you are... biggrin.gif haha.

The Zappos CEO is in town, and invited me to happy hour at the Irish Lion tonight. How cool is that?!

Happy Monday all.  My work day is done and I'm glad it's behind me.  Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to make for dinner.  I'm sick of planning meals, sick of going to the grocery store, and really sick of cooking!  I wish we had enough money to eat every dinner out at a restaurant for a week....I need a break.  hmm

What are you guys having for dinner tonight?  Maybe I'll get an idea from one of you.

We never pre-plan our meals. And when we do, we end up not having them. And, I might end up eating at the Irish Lion tonight.

At the risk of sounding sappy: I was having a really bad start to the day. But then I came here to the forum and I read the biting sattire between friends and family. the day is not so bad anymore. I am very grateful to be part of this group.
