I'm doing pretty well for the little sleep I got last night. I did pick up a latte with a triple shot of espresso, just to keep me going. I was too excited after the Zappos thing last night to get to sleep right away, and then Brian kept me awake most of the night.
I think he might have the flu. Last night he was complaining about his throat hurting, and he was more subdued than usual. Then during the night he tossed and turned a lot. This morning his throat still hurts, he's congested, and he obviously has a fever. He also has a headache, but I'm guessing that's due to the fever. I left him with some tea and got some medicine for him before I came into work. I woke him up to let him know the medicine was there, I hope he stayed up long enough to take it.
well the bootcamp training was fun enough, but as predicted, I am way sore this morning, even after taking some Ibruprofin last night. It was a good workout, but I think we spent too much time doing (or trying to do) various types of pushups, not enough cardio, and no stomach work- although the guy said that we will in the future sessions. Nice enough guy & is an actual drill instructor for the army.
the classes are held in the lunch room of the school where I went to kindergarden. I haven't been back there since 1975, so that was fun to see. I think the paint and the floor tiles are the same.
there was a bunch of broken animal crackers on the floor. the guy promised he'd have them sweep before next session, but what a good motivator to bring ones own excersise mat.
we also did a lot of work with the stretchable medical tubing- what a convenient, effective and cheap way to get a good work out- bicept, tricept, chest curls done all right there with this tubing. really you can get one of these things for maybe $5 or get a bo-flex for what, $1000-something? this tubing is just as effective. maybe buy a $10 crunch ball too and you have a whole work out system for $15. running in place for cardio is free.
