getting up each day to face the challenges of life. the challenges only get harder and stupider. the face we put on to face those challenges hides our true selves (our true faces). Perhaps the face we put on gets harder and more stupid looking as it begins to wear....
Notice too, it looks as if this particular individual looks like their sitting on the floor, perhaps in an asylum, or a cage.....the dawn of awareness was not enlightenment, it was insanity....

I DON'T KNOW! BILL WOULD PROBABLY SAY HE JUST LIKES DRAWING STUFF.smile

I feel better knowing I wasn't the only one who didn't understand it. Thanks Web.

Can't. Brain wants to deal with numbers, accuracy, rationality. Doesn't want to deal with thinking about things that it doesn't understand or appreciate. No wonder why I don't get poetry or art. no.gif

Eh, I don't buy into that stuff. I'm sorry.

I think you can read what you want into anything and make it sound deeper than it is.

Here's what my stick figure is meant to convey.

The lack of a face on the head suggests that from day to day we don't know what emotions we'll go through, what facial expressions we'll be forced to use as we confront the issues of our day.

The LESSER THAN and GREATER THAN signs used for the torso indicate that on any given day we may be seen by others as less of, or more of a person than we perceive ourselves to be.

The stick legs are there to move our existential bodies from one friggin' place to another. nod.gif

There. Do I get my own show in a NY Gallery now? smile.gif

thats ok fuzzy. I often wish I were more left brained. I think its more lucrative to be an engineer than a poet. dang. wish I woulda thought about that in college....

As a right-brain person, your explanation makes perfect sense to me.  You most certainly can get your own show in a NY gallery.  Go git 'em....you're ready!!! smile

Eh... it's all a matter of perspective, JD. Yet another sign on my desk: Genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent persipration, which is why engineers sometimes smell really bad.

Art is art and is suject to interpretation. I know that I like to look at pretty things. I don't want to figure out what the artist was thinking or feeling when the produced the art work. no.gif Kind of like poetry. I never understood how the teachers in high school ever got the "reading between the lines" stuff in the poem. How do they know what the writer meant? Where they there? Did the writer leave a note? Blah, blah.

JR - would it be okay if I just took you to the art museum and you explained things to me?

I know. But it worked for me. I am not good with people telling me what to think or what things mean anyway.

I thought you stick figure was simply a stick figure with its hands on its hips.
