It's cloudy and cool here today.....they say it's supposed to stay in the low 60s all week. That's a change from the gorgeous weather we had last week.
I took some pork chops out of the freezer for dinner today, and I've got some acorn squash that I picked up from a farmer that I'm going to nuke later on. I haven't had any squash since last Fall, so I'm really hungry for it.
Not much going on here at my house today. I've got a couple of new books from the library so I might start reading one of those in a little while.
I guess I'm leaving Tuesday morning, very early. Probably 5ish.
It's beautiful here again. I'm actually getting a little depressed now that I'm leaving NC behind. I've already had more perfect days here in the last month than I know I'll get in a year in WI. :(
I'm very tense today. HUGE Brewer and Met's games. After today we could be going to the playoffs for the first time in 26 years or we could be eliminated AGAIN. There's also the chance we could need to travel to NY for a one game playoff to determine which team advances to the actual playoffs.
I hope the stars align for us.
Looks like you had fun with Web & MZ watching the Huskers
Yeah, I enjoyed the game last night! Really glad that Mz found a station online so we could watch it. Listening on the radio is ok, but can't compare to seeing the action.
So your Brewers are playing SG's Mets today, huh? While I'm not a fan of baseball, I will hope that the Brewers win today so you guys can go to the playoffs. Of course, SG is hoping for a Mets victory. Should make for an interesting rivalry between you two.
You know, you might want to keep NC tucked away for a place to retire at, at least during the Fall and Winter months. I know you didn't care for it too much during the summer. You could be like a MI snow bird, only instead of going to FL during the nasty weather, you could be in NC instead.
Morning all. I'm glad it's Sunday. One more day to relax before hitting the grind. As I say that, I'm getting ready to go mow the yard... so relaxing will have to wait a bit. It's supposed to be a really pretty day here today, sunny and high 70's, maybe 80.
I'm planning on firing up the grill later. Not sure how many days I will have left to do that, so I plan on enjoying it while I can.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
Well, thanks to terrific friends, I am half moved in.... I have my apartment "on paper" starting Oct.1st, but my landlord gave me the keys 2 weeks ago and said, "You can start moving in your things." I brought over my kitchen table, kitchen island, pictures, couch, loveseat, Flat screen TV, coffee tables, tv stand.. some pot and pans.
I have not brought over my bedroom so that means i sleep in my almost empty house, like right now. I do have a TV in my bedroom so that's nice, cable and internet is paid until first week of October.
I hope to have all the furniture and rest of my stuff in by October 1st, but it's hard to rummage up friends to help you move.
Kaisha has almost all of her stuff out and at her new place too. including Rex.
Though it's a hard and uncertain road to start anew, I know you have the spirit and the good heart to turn it into something even better than your life was before.
A day will come when you'll be so glad this all happened and know why it had to!
