Ladies, (well, and gents I guess, if that's how you roll) do you wear makeup? If so, what? (Have we discussed this before? If so, I think it's been a while.)
I try to go light and inconspicuous, but I do wear makeup. I didn't used to, but now I feel like I have to for work. And I've finally found a nice routine that works for me.
I use:
Eyebrow pencil. I thought I'd never use an eyebrow pencil, but now I think it actually makes my eyebrows look more natural than, well, natural.
Under-eye concealer (because no matter how much sleep I get, I always have dark circles)
Brown eye liner under the lashes
Translucent powder (no foundation)
Eye shadow. Actually, it's just blush, it just gives me a hint of color on my eyelids, and I use a super soft brush to apply.
Carmex lip balm
This super light sparkle stuff on my cheeks. It doesn't look sparkle-y or glittery, it just gives a subtle glow.
Brown mascara
When I go out and feel the need to wear a bit more makeup, I switch to black mascara, use a copper colored eye shadow (but still light with the soft brush), and use a touch of Burts Bees Lip Shimmer on my lips with the Carmex.
I wear it everyday..... It's who I am... and if I don't wear any...I feel naked. I love to use it all, blush, foundation, eye shadow, and liner and masara. lipliner, lipstick.... you name it. I go thru a lot of make up remover in my house.
yes I wear it but I wear a lot less now. It depends on my mood on how much color gets applied. But to me my face feels more dirty if I don't were makeup. Like it gets oily faster.
I haven't found the right cleanser and moisturizer combo yet so it doesn't make me love any makeup. Right now I am trying the Purity line. Too soon to tell yet
I mostly wear Bare Minerals
I add other concealer even though I have Bare Minerals Bisque. It doesn't cover as well as I like. Maybe if I could get my face to balance then it would be ok.
I'm not loyal to any makeup as far as color. I try to stay with neutral colors unless I am going out. Because my eyes are sensitive I often skip the eyeliner and mascara because I don't fee like dealing with it. If I'm in a good mood that may be what I add on though.
I've almost all but eliminated lipstick. I hate the transfer and I can't stand having dry lips from extended wear. So if going out I may wear something. If I'm using chapstick then it is LypSyl.

I really don't wear any. I would probably look like a totally different person if I did. I probably should, but I don't. Occasionally I may need a little concealer, but that is it. I guess I am just lazy and just can't be bothered. I don't have anyone to impress. I have fair skin. And I guess it can be a little sensitive at times. Just about anything I tried aggrevated it. So way back when I just blew everything off. And I haven't tried it since. I was in a wedding a couple of years ago and someone did my makeup. I thought I looked awful. I guess you have to find the right stuff.

I had a friend get her makeup professionally done for her wedding, and I wasn't all that impressed. It's like they have to pile it all on. For people who don't wear makeup, they should go with a much more natural look.
Just the opposite for me, if someone sees me in the morning, it's like, oh, sorry I caught you without your makeup..or if I am not wearing any, I've gotten: "Are you sick?"

I've seen so many train wrecks because they trusted that a professional cosmetologist knows how to compliment the bride's look. I could never do something like that unless it was my MAC cosmetologist. She knows what looks good on me and she's very attentive to what I like and don't like.

I don't always wear makeup, and there's different things I use for different reasons. If I'm going to work:
Bare Escentuals Mineral Foundation or Prescriptives Magic MAC blush MAC eye liner and eye shadows Lip plumping clear gloss MAC color gloss
If I'm going out I'll wear Rimmel Eye Magnifier mascara so it looks like I actually have eye lashes. And lipstick, if the occasion arises.
Most days, I dont wear much more than my eye liner, clear gloss and Magic. Since I started using Avon's Anew Ultimate line for moisturizing, my skin is healthier and I don't need to conceal as much - I'm not as uneven in complexion and pretty blemish free.

The only time I don't wear makeup is when I'm not going to be around other people. I'm seriously woof-woof without it.
I wear multiple brands of foundations. (I have very pasty but olive colored skin...hard to match) All are mineral though cuz I have oily skin. Black waterproof mascara (top lid only because my left eye waters all the time) No eyeliner (my eyes are different shapes so it always looks goofy on me) Blush Lip liner Lipstick (I have big lips but they are totally pasty white so I always have to put lips on)
The eyeshadow, blush & lipstick colors always depend on what I'm wearing. I tend to want to wear pinks or mauves.
The funny thing about me & makeup is that I wear these giant, dark glasses all the time. You can't see the top half of my face, but I always make it up anyway. Makes no sense.
Yeah, I only do top lashes with mascara too. Same with eyeliner, only the top. If I do the bottoms, it looks weird. It makes my eyes too dark, and I look evil.
I have really dark circles under my eyes. Mascara & liner close to the dark circles just make me look like I got punched out big time.
Same here, although I just have regular dark circles. I put mascara and eyeliner on the bottom lids, and I look like a drugged out celebrity. So I keep those on top and some light reflecting conceler over the darkness.

I know what you mean, that's a challenge for me, too. My cosmetologist at MAC turned me on to a trick to brighten the eyes and detract from the dark circles though. She suggested using light or bright eyeliner under the eye (darker on the upper lid of course) and then, if wearing mascara, give a light sweep of it only on the outer 1/4 to 1/3 of the lower lashes. It looks great, really, and mascara is a challenge for me.
