IT WAS A GREAT 2008 BREWER SEASON!

90 Wins.  One game deeper into the playoffs than the Cubs.  I got to attend my first playoff game.  2008 was a good year nod.gif

THANK HEAVENS Mark Attanasio came along and made this franchise relavent again.  Now he's talking very seriously about resigning CC Sabathia who says happiness is more important than money in his decision, which he hopes to make soon.  Attanasio said there are ways his financial people can structure things, so it's not impossible for us to sign the big left hander.

A rotation lead with CC & Gallardo next year can cement the Brewers post-season chances for the next five years.  Brewer fans, keep your fingers crossed!  It's gonna be as fun of an off-season as it was a season!

GO BREWERS GO!!!

It would be good to see CC in a Brewer uniform next year.  Heck, just hte fact they are talking about resigning him shows how much Attanasio means to this franchise.

I wonder where Sheets will end up?  I wonder if he will continue to pull  muscles
by sneezing or just out goofy himself out of the league.

My big concern is if Doug Melvin is coming back...
He said he wants to...but the whole Yost firing was the owners idea and I dont think he was totally on board with it.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

You're right...good year for the crew.

Only 5 months until spring training.

I'm worried about Melvin too. I hope the Yost thing was truly mutual and didn't create any tension between him and ownership.

I dont think there is a better alternative to Melvin out there.  Attanasio is smart enough to recognize and keep talent.

Good job by the Brewers! They pushed and played hard. I still think they are a young team to worry about. When they settle that pitching staff, it will be a good one. Thankfully, for this year the Phillies are finished with them. But we will see you mid April for the rematch.

In the meantime, the Phillies have advanced and are due to deal with the Dodgers. Hopefully, they are able to repeat the success they had the last time the Dodgers were in town.

Let's go Phillies!
