a guy here at work was laughing at this ladys mp3 song collection. He was laughing that she had Merle Haggard and Yani.smile

THen we started laughing about country western music in general. I wrote a song off the top of my head that described what we believe Merle Haggard is all about lyrically:

I'm a whisky drinkin
Honky- tonkin
WOO! (pop)
suna abiotch

now I can't get that out of my head.

Every come up with lyrics or a melody on your own, and not be able to let it go for awhile?confusedsmile

Every time my sup starts talking or I'm in the whole department weekly staff meeting I get that circus song stuck in my head... don't know the name of it, but it seems like it is played at EVERY circus.

I'm not sure this falls into what you are asking but my husband frequently sings his own lyrics to songs on purpose.

I no longer hear or am able to sing the right words to The Killers-Mr Brightside

He dirtied up these lyrics:

this guy I used to work with swore he thought Pearl Jam was singing "Can't find my M&Ms!!" instead of "Can't Find a Better Man".

Not that I hear that song that often anymore (thank goodness too), but when I do, I can't help but hear it that way....

Led Zep too- Stairway To Heaven....this lady swore they were singing "there's a wino down the road...." biggrin

Emily made up a song about nincompoops- or however you might spell it. It is funny and it is in my head most mornings! I told her Hannah Montana may need to watch her back... Emily is writing songs!

I can't hear Suicide Blonde now without thinking "soup and salad bar."

We make breakfast on Sunday mornings. It consists of coffee, bacon, fruit, toast, and eggs for Brian. We used to say, "bacon, bacon, bacon!" like the dog in the Beggin' Strips commercial. But now that's morphed into the Incredible Breakfast Band. I end up singing the whole song at least once while I'm cooking:

I know some commercial jingles get stuck like :save big money at Menard's

I hate that jingle Woo! That's one of those that if you just mention it, it'll get stuck in my head. Others like that include the Smurfs theme, Toys R Us jingle, The Song That Never Ends, and the apple and banana song from Barney. The Barney one is the worst!

I have a tendency to keep singing the last song I heard. Like when you get out of the house and go into a place for dinner or into the grocery store. Some mornings I wake up singing songs that I don't know where they came from. The same part of the song will get stuck in my vast emptiness of a head until I hear something else to replace it.

Me too Fuzzy. Whatever song I last noticed playing is on extended replay in my head. Today I watched My Fair Lady and "I COuld Have Danced All Night" has been in my head ever since. laughing.gif

I used to stick song's in my friend's & kid's heads. One of my friends HATES the song, "Tom's Diner" by Suzanne Vega. All I'd have to do to get it stuck in his head was walk up & sing "Doo doo doo doo. Doo doo doo doo. Doo doo doo doo" & he was crazy for the rest of the day. I'd do it all the time, too...cuz that's how I roll.

SuzieB dies if I sing, "IIIIIIIIII'm saaaaai-ling awaaaaaay..." so I do it all the time.
