Good day all.

The leaves are starting to fall, I can feel it in my runny nose and itchy eyes.  I took a Zyrtec, I hope it doesn't make me too sleepy today.

Morning all.

It's WFH Thursday. YAY. Still have a sore throat. I'm supposed to be getting a flu shot this morning, but I'm thinking it would be a really bad idea to do so while I'm already not feeling so great. That would be like taunting disaster.

Otherwise, should be an easy day for me. smile.gif

Hi all. I'm hoping to have a better day today. I was in quite the mood yesterday. I was worried that I was gonna be depressed for awhile. My father-in-law's surgery has been rescheduled for the 29th so we have applied the 29th and 30th off. I hope this one actually sticks.

Our betta (Junior) died last night. We are relived. The poor guy was just suffering. The medicine wouldn't work and he had stopped eating. He was all tuckered out but just wouldn't give up the fight. So we are glad that he is out of pain now.

Tonight is a busy night as hubby scheduled a hair cut and we have a bunch of things to take car of due to not being able to get to them last night.

cold this morning but should warm to the mid 70s today.

I think I am leaving Capital One at the end of the year. I am still not sure tho. I am just so tired of the Bull.

Howdy! I'm really sleepy this morning -- had a busy dream night...

Looks like things where I work are slowing down fast. This is the time of year we should be getting really busy... Two upcoming contracts were "put on hold" indefinately. Why not just use less energy and fewer syllables and say "canceled". Also, the glass plant in Tulsa is leaning towards draining and shutting down the other furnace which we were counting on rebuilding next year...

I am freezing and its 62. But at least we are supposed to get up to 92 today.

I'm a bit jealous today. I was in the main office when a staff from my old shop came in and dropped off a homemade cake and a card for the big boss for boss' day. She then told my sister in front of me what they got their manager. They got her roses, card and a gift certificate to a spa. She said they couldn't afford a full amount for her to get a massage but that it could be used towards one. Oh and someone got balloons. I don't remember who.

I was the manager at that shop for about 10 years. They never did anything like that for me. sniff.gif
Many of the staff down there were my staff.

Woo that is horrible. But it may be a good thing. You were such an awesome manager that you didn't need any bribes. This one must really suck big time to have the employees take such drastic measures to make her happy, even if it is for one day.

laughing.gif nice try but she is a very nice manager. They've been through a few managers since I switched positions and through transitions they did compliment me and some said they missed me but I guess it would have been nice to have been appreciated at the time.

Hi all!  I finally feel like my old self again, no more dizziness.  clap.gif  I still have to finish the meds though to keep it at bay.

It's a pretty Fall day here, sunny, a little cool but not bad.

I just realized that we're half-way through October already. I think next weekend I'll be going up to the cabin to get it closed up for the winter.  cry  That always makes me feel a little sad.
