Has anyone got any Vacations planned for this year?
Me and my girlfriend just booked our's for September, we are going to Benidorm in Spain, should be a great holiday, its our first holiday away together, as we only started seeing each other just over a year ago. So as Im thinking about my vacation, I thought I would see if any of you guys and gals are too?
New Orleans, LA- shooting for May. Planning on Amtrak- perhaps the last chance to do so the way the talk is about ending federal subsidies to them!
Its a 19 hr ride either by car or train, the train has private sleeper cars, a movie theater car, a dining and bar car, plus an observation deck upstairs! It should be great!
Hey Ultimo- travel around Europe must not take a huge amount of time? How long for you to get to Spain, are you going by land, air or sea? (Can you reach Spain by land from England?....geography, geography.....such a long time ago.........)

Going to go camping for a week or so in Yellowstone National Park early summer time frame.
September flying to Pennsylvania for a cousin's wedding. Then flying back to Pennsylvania the last week of November to take the son on his first hunting trip.
We used to take a week in Ocean City, MD with friends from college every summer, but last summer and this summer we'll probably skip until the kids get old enough. My wife loves the beach. I imagine my most exciting trip this summer will probably be to a zoo or something. Although, I think the grandparents are planning to take us all to Disney World in a few years when the kids are old enough to enjoy it!
Philipsburg (west central area). I love Ocean City, MD. I used to live in Dover Delaware and would hit all of the coastal places between there and OC. Those were the days, late 80s. Must be why I love this station.
I'm supposed to visit my brother and sister in law in San Francisco sometime this year, but who knows? There's never a good time to plan it, and I can barely get away from work for a day, let alone 5.
I'd be happy to go to Madison at this point (point of reference, it's an hour west of Milwaukee-lots of college kids and booze)
Just after school lets out in June, I was given a great opportunity to spend six days in Italy and then a 5 day cruise of the Greek Island, and visiting the ancient ruins. I thought it too good to pass up, so booked for my whole family. I have never been out of the country, except for Mexico. I have always been too timid to leave the US. This time, I could not resist.
I share the same "turf" fear CP. It would have to take one heck of a deal for me to leave the US in this day and age. Sounds like one awesome trip tho.
