When my younger brother was 10ish, he wanted to see how many licks it took to get to the center of a tootsie roll tootsie pop, like the commercial suggested we should all try, and he cut his tongue on the candy and it wouldn't stop bleeding...
I think my favoirte is grape...

So, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop? I can't believe the owl. It isn't three. But I certainly never had the patients to try that. I just suck on mine. And when they are close, then I bite.

I saw it done somewhere, maybe on the food network and I wanna say it was like 110 or something.
BUT, the prize isn't dependent on a correct pick, so I just threw any number out there. You get the $50,000 no matter what, but you get an extra $5,000 if you are within 3% of the correct number.
I would think it would be different for everybody don't you? A light licker is gonna take longer than a hard licker. Hmm, that sounds awful dirty.

With that in mind, take another look at Fuzzy's answer.

After I wrote it I thought about it. I was hoping maybe no one's mind was in the gutter today. Oh well. I should learn that our minds are always in the gutter.
