The Daylight Savings Time Try

Daylight Savings Time begins (or ends?confused.gif) this sunday morning at 2 am. That is usually the only good thing about winter- an extra hour of sleep, & then everything happens an hour later. Its such a drag adjusting come spring, when that hour is lost. But now because I am used to that lost hour, I might just start waking up an hour earlier (same time as right now), so as not to lose synch. It might be good to start the day an hour earlier- get into work earlier, get out earlier, or just have some morning time before the get up and go go go....

Good luck with that. I have trouble getting up before the sun.

I hate it getting dark at 5 PM, but I do like the change twice a year. It just seems like it shakes things up a bit.

I've been getting up at 7 lately, maybe now I'll start getting up at six.

its rough, getting up and going to work even before the sun is up, coming home after its gone down....to add insult to injury, how about some 0 degree weather, 2 feet of snow and icy roads?bleh.gif

I need to start getting up earlier anyway, so I have time to clean the car off before I go work out. Ick.

Sleep? Who needs sleep?

On the CBS Early show this morning, they said that a Swedish study shows a 6% increase in heart attacks in the first few days after the spring time change, and about the same decrease at the fall time change. They are attributing the increase to the lost hour of sleep and the decrease to the gained hour of sleep.

You had to go there, didn't you? evileye  I want to at least pretend that doesn't happen or that it could happen in the next month anyway.

The extra hour of sleep rocks, but I sure do look forward to spring an the return of "the bright shiny thing in the sky".

At least I don't have to do the network time change anymore. That was part of my job for years when I worked for the Long Distance Division of the company. Easy money back then, but man did it blow spending half of a weekend day updating thousands of trunks across the network. bleh.gif

While I liked having an extra hour today, I sure didn't like it getting dark at 6:00 tonight.  hmm

Come to think of it, I do believe it was 5:00 here too.  It was a dark, dreary day so I really wasn't paying too much attention.

Right now, it's lightning and thundering......big ol' boomers too!!  Power keeps flickering off and on; hopefully I won't get booted off the internet due to it storming.

Eh... I set the clocks back this morning and was marginally happy about it for a while. I will probably be happier about it tomorrow morning... my neighbor and I decided today should be Margarita Sunday so I'm about half lit right now.

At 5:30 I was writing at Starbucks and thinking I needed to get home because it was getting dark outside.

It was nice to get out today and go for a ride out of town and get some brunch. we did so at like 9:30, with that "its much later" kinda feeling. got a lot done with that seemingly long extra hour of the day today.smile.gif
