Election day is near! That means all this election crap will be over soon

I'll tell ya, I get into the elections every year. I have for the past twenty years. But this one has been exhausting to watch and pay attention to. I don't think I've ever been looking as forward to the end of it as I am this year.

Thumper, those donuts are no way to get me motivated to exercise! I'm about to head out for my morning walk but now I have the urge to walk to Krispy Kreme!!!

Good morning, I hear you Woo, can't wait for it to be over. I worked Saturday at the golf course...not one person didn't bring up the election. It got brought up in every converstaion.

I took the avatar picture on the bike path yesterday, brought Rex there. It's only 5 minutes from my new apartment.

I think the election is part of my icky feeling. I too am glad that it will all soon be over, but I'm worried that the polls are correct. Not that I think McCain has all the answers either, but I just have this deeply disturbing feeling that Obama becoming president will prove to be the biggest presidential mistake of our history.

I hope my feelings are wrong, but if not, may God forgive us and protect us.

Just getting to work now. This is Woo. Darlene, that other lady talking was JR biggrin

We stayed in Saginaw last night. We didn't want to leave Mom alone. They still can't take Dad's breathing tube out. He fusses too much when the lower the sedation. She is supposed to call me every few hours to let me know what the scoop is. We might be back there tonight or maybe I will stay and hubby will go. Just depends on what the news is.

At least the election will be over soon. Either way it goes the next few years will be a bumpy ride at best. If Obama wins, he best make sure the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and peace & happiness kick in real quick... people expect that of him.

mmm... the bagles look yummy!
took isaac for his follow up eye exam this morning and his glasses have resulted in a tremendous improvement, although, his left eye hasn't improved as well as his right, yet his right is the one that is more astigmatic... no patch today; we'll go back in february to see how the left eye has progressed...

today will be another 80 degree day in the tulsa metro, but windy. gas is 1.90...

That was part of the problem, I didn't like Kerry either.

I'd have that problem if the VPs were running for president this year too, I wouldn't know which one to vote for.

Presidential candidate wise, I think we had a good year(s). I want Obama to win, but I won't be too upset if McCain wins. And that's a really hard thing to admit to right now, when each candidate is trying to make the other look like the devil.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of in the same place MZ.

I prefer Palin over Biden, and HATE that it seems the media has made it an Obama vs. Palin race. But I'm trying to look at the positives that Obama will bring if he wins. I do think having our first minority President would be a very positive thing. I do worry that he's about as liberal as they come though, and with what's likely to be an all-Democrat house and senate, he scares the hell out of me.

BUT, the real problem is I'm not a McCain fan either. So I'd like McCain to win because the Republican party more closely resembles my ideals, I'm not going to be horribly upset if he loses.

Like I said, I'm just looking forward to it being over. If Obama turns out to be as liberal as I fear he is then he'll be gone in four years anyway.

Hi everyone! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood........68 and sunny. I turned the furnace off this morning before I left for work and now that I'm home, I opened a couple of windows a few inches to get some fresh air in the house. Supposed to be really nice here for the next 2 or 3 days.

A nice trade off since it gets dark so much earlier now.

Woo, did your father-in-law have his surgery done here in Saginaw? If so, which hospital?

yeah I kept thinking how I'm in Saginaw by you and then I would forget to post something. I even mentioned to my husband. He is in St Mary's. Whenever he gets the breathing tube out he still has like 4 more days in the hospital.
