I can't wait for him to fix all our problems.

(Or blame all his shortcomings on the previous administration.  Whatever comes first.)

Good luck Mr. President.  Here's to hoping you're more than just fancy speeches.  AND that you're not as exteme of a liberal as your senate voting record would suggest you are.  hmm.gif

I have mixed feelings.

I'm glad its over.

I'm scared for our nation's security.

I'm proud our country has come far enough to overlook race in this election.

I'm sad for all the children that will continue to be murdered out of convenience.

I'm hopeful the positive feelings of the majority will be good for our country.

I'm concerned about what will be left of this country when my son reaches adulthood.

I'm thankful I have a God to trust and don't have to put my faith in a man.

hey,
in 4 yrs, ask yourself if you are better off than you are today. I bet the answer will be yes. Things certainly can't get much worse than they are now.

Its gonna take a huge broom to clean this mess of a nation up.

JD, I don't want to speculate if I'll be better off 4 years from now.  This country is in a huge, huge mess and I'm not sure it can be cleaned up in 4 years.  We'll see.  I'm remaining hopeful but I still believe we haven't reached anywhere near the bottom yet.....I think it's still coming.  hmm

Web, I'm glad for you that you are. smile  Personally, I'm not.  I don't blame it on a single political party because it wasn't a single political party that caused my finances to strain....it was both parties and also a few bad decisions that I made myself.  The only thing I know for sure is that neither myself nor my husband has received any kind of a pay increase during the past 10 years.....we're living on the exact same amount of money that we were living on 10 years ago and it's getting harder and harder to do.  My husband is a union employee working without a ratified contract for the past 2 years and we have already been told not to expect any increase of any type in wages for at least another 3 years.  Knowing this really sucks, lemme tell ya.  hmm

Listening to Obama's acceptance speech.

He's basically saying our savior is here and we need to worry no more.

I am thrilled beyond belief that Obama won.

Oklahoma was one of the first states tho to pop up and say WE VOTED FOR THE REPUBLICAN!ashamed.gif

Looking at the past elections This is indeed historic. Many Heavily republicanstates went to Democrats and now we have the Nations first Black President.

Tomorrow is a new day and life will go on.

Yes, it is historic. YAY for the USA for taking a social step forward. But if Obama doesn't wave the magic wand and cure our ills pretty quick, what do you think will happen? Dude has near impossible expectations set for himself. If Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid don't help him deliver a miracle, can you imagine the disappointment and hardship that would come along with another Jimmy Carter administration.

I just heard a clip of his speach... he's already essentially saying "Gonna be more than 4 years before we pull this one out."

In four years I HOPE to be able to say I am better off. I can honestly say that every 4 years when I ask myself that question, the answer is YES. This has been regardless of who is in office because I work hard to make sure that I am.

No mudslinging intended. We just happen to have different views on things.
