Watching Good Morning America while getting ready and they were interviewing some people ("experts") about the bailout. They said that right now, 9% of homes are either in foreclosure or the owners are behind and near foreclosure. A homeowner asked "Ok, but what about the other 91% of us that are doing a good job? Do we get some kind of reward for being responsible?"
The answer was "No, this is just one of those cases where life's not fair".
They also said that although about 1/2 of the 700 billion dollars have been given out, NO recipients have reported to show that it is being used wisely even though accountability was supposed to be a BIG part of getting the money.
Just got a call about my father-in-law and right now we feel positive.
The other night was not good. He had to be strapped down in bed- he fell out of bed trying to leave. But he slept most of last night and so far today seems about 50% more clearer mentally today. So hopefully he will continue to make progress. The doctors are going to try and remove the catheter and he may be out in a few days if his progress continues.
