Cost To Drive

This totally ROCKS!

http://www.costtodrive.com

It tells you how much you'll spend in gas to get from point A to point B.  I tried it out with the route I take to my parent's house, and it seems spot on.  All you need is the year, make, and model of your car and your two points.  It tells you the number of miles, how many gallons it should take, and the average cost of gas between those two points.

Oooh! And if you put in a trip that will take multiple tanks of gas, it tells you where to fill up along the way!

I haven't done any actual calculations but, my car on a good day gets maybe 24 mpg in the city, I drive 11 miles round trip, it probably costs me nearlly one gallon of gas to drive the 11 miles. I need to fill up every week and a half. $2.05 per gallon, who'd a thought we'd be cheering?evileyeweirdface

squonk I wanted to run the calculations on your 60 Olds, but it looks like it doesn't go back that far (not suprising).

When you drive something like that... it doesn't matter! Guys that drive Vettes, Lambos etc for sure don't think about it. It was sad thinking about it being "stored" I hope that the group out at Pete's has a winter get together.hmm.gif
