I didn't get to have a Y2K party. I was on-call for any network problems on New Year's Eve. Did a shift in the office that day, then had to be logged in at home for the rest of the night. On my way home, I almost stopped at my bank "just in case", but the ATM line was packed. Debated going into the lobby, but decided against it because of time constraints. That there turned out to be the best decision of the year... just as I was driving off, a whole bunch of police cars started showing up in the area. I went on home (about 1/4 mile away) and logged into my computer. Just after I got online, I got an IM from one of my co-workers informing me that my bank was being robbed. That mess went on all night. Pambo called... she had tried to come over to my house since it was so close to the action, but couldn't get into my neighborhood because it was all blocked off.

When I bought my house, I intentionally bought in an area where there are no businesses in the immediate vicinity so nothing like that should happen again. With any luck, I will still live here when I throw the EOTW party. nod.gif

Fuzzy was more concerned as to whether there might be an option for the splitting of the cost of snacks and drinks we might consume during the cable watching and if there would be non-cable-related expectations, or would this strictly be mutual cable bill convenience?

Ley me allay your fears...(Curse you Fuzzy!)  I believe this would be an equitable partnership (Curse You Fuzzy) where things may not always be 50-50, but they would average out.

Secondly, addressing non-cable related expectations... I am guessing you couldnt keep your hands off me.  (Of, course, I refer to you beating sense into me on a regular basis).

Bosses arent used to employees being able to do defend their decisions when challenged. So in their eyes, you arent as easily controllable.  Uncertainty and chaos could ensue.
