Probably a resurrected topic, but JD's comment about the Barbie song makes me want to vent too. If I hear Brittney Spears coo about getting the blue necklace from the bottom of the ocean floor one.... more.... time... ACK!
Speaking of Titanic, if I have to hear "My Heart Will Go On" one more time, I'll scream. It's not played often anymore, but anytime I even hear a second of it, I want to rip my ears off. Please understand I worked at a movie theatre when that came out, and I heard the sounds of Titanic and that song 3x a day, everyday, for 4 months, plus the radio system in our lobby had it on every hour on the hour.
Once again, I walk off the soapbox. I think it's time for me to put it away under my desk.
Britney - Oops . . . We have a yearly kite fly weekend here in our county that is a pretty large event. Every year, they have a lip sync contest while taking a break in the evening waiting for it to get fully dark for the night fly to start.
The year that song was popular, I think we heard it 15 times during the contest. I didn't even know the song before that day, but was fully tired of it before the event was over.
One of my kite friends made up for it though. After watching a 250 lb. grown man stuff himself into an anqitue wash tub wearing only shorts and singing "Rubber Duckie" along with Ernie, we all forgot about Britney.

Thank God someone else feels the same! Everytime I hear the song I want to cringe. Obviously though we are offending someone. Someone is either requesting it or Riggs is putting it on when there are no requests. But I totally agree I hate that song and the edit mix. Oops Riggs lost the CD again!!!!?????
It Ain't Me Asisson, Beleive me, I'm no Britney fan.
She's had a couple songs that were bearable, and I think she COULD have been something special, but she over-produced every single she ever released and turned herself into a forgettable pop-tart.
There is atleast one listener out there who really likes her though, because every day I see the requests coming in for her. In fact, there's another one lined up right now by request, it's the "I'm A Slave 4 U" song.
