FIRST!

Hi to all, I hope everyone's having a good weekend so far.

Sounds like a LOT of people are getting into that Christmas mode already, starting to think about gifts they wanna buy.

I'm happy to say I got a big chunk of my shopping done this week myself.  I hope to finish up by the first of the month if possible.  Then December can be stress-free.

Only four more days until we get to eat more turkey than any human should clap.gif

Good morning!... she says as she is about to go to sleep. giggle.gif My weekend has been good so far. I think I'm going over to help my son and daughter in law move later on today. Yay...blankstare.gif... moving is so much fun. Hopefully I will get to watching some football later today.

Weekend on everyone!

Morning all

A wild, damp and windy morning in my little corner of the world.

It's snowing in the East but I think we'll not snow where I am... Ultimo may have had snow where he is though...

The sun is trying to shine now but that wind is rather chilly so no going out plans today apart from maybe a quick leaf tidy in the back. It will be mainly warm jobs today, like ironing and the wretched kids can tidy their wretched bedrooms!

Good day all! Good to hear Woo!

Right now I'm fighting to rip a CD. (Er, to make an archive copy, yeah.) I got it from the library, and it's a bit scratched, but I've had worse work. But there are a few songs on this one that are messed up. I'm going to go to the library to write today, so I think I'll say something to them when I return it.

Speaking of writing, 10,000 words to go! And I still haven't reached the spot in my story that I originally thought would be the halfway point. So the rest may be condensed a bit so I can still get it done this month.

It's a great Sunday morning in Cheeseland smile.gif

Just got done having the traditional hot ham & rolls for lunch. Turned on the Jet's game and Favre led them down the field to an opening drive touchdown against the undefeated Titans.

We heard from my Grandma today. They had put off surgery but are going through with it tomorrow morning now. She's in good spirits but scared. The doctors had previously told her she probably wouldn't make it through a surgery, but now they feel they have no choice.

I have this gut instinct that she'll make it through just fine. For 87 years old this woman is tough, tough, tough! I'm pretty sure she could kick my butt if she got angry enough! nod.gif

Well, games back on! LATA!

Saturday eve at the movies... we watched the French Connection. Interesting. I've cleared out some room on Sunday eve to listen in on JD's shows. Sunday eve will be "artroom" time. I've got three projects that need immediate attention. So, I'll check you there.

Squonk.

P.S. The Mrs may be listening so, take it easy on the swear words.wink

You grilled in a heat wave compared to here.  It was only 29 when he went out to grill.

Good for you, Ghost! I wish I would have had a steak for dinner. Instead I had leftovers. I'm trying to make room in the fridge for the leftovers to come. smile.gif

Can't complain about the weather in KC today... it was sunny and about 55. Made it nice for having to be outside so much.

I wish JD, but no; I went grocery shopping yesterday and decided to have them today while everyone was home for dinner.  That doesn't happen too often anymore with two busy teens in the house. hmm

I remember that commercial!  Manwich didn't keep me home for dinner though. I don't like it.  I'd go to Mickey D's, haha.

I use Hamburger Helper once in a while, but I usually add some extra stuff to it.  It isn't something I could eat on a regular basis, but there are a lot of people that do.  smile

oh back in college the lasaga hamburger helper was the bomb! no need for milk or anything outside of the box besides meat to be added. if I had 26 extra cents tho, I could kick it up to the next level and add a can of mushrooms tho!!

BAM! lick.gifhungry.giflmao.gif

Isn't it funny the things you remember when you think back.  Every Monday was the day my mom did laundry, and every Monday was homemade spaghetti for dinner.  My mom would start the sauce in the morning and let it simmer all day.  Man, was her spaghetti good!  smile

Monday nights at tech school. A couple buddies and I would fry a chicken, corn, potatoes & gravy, watch Monday Night Football and play Spades.
