ESPN is abuzz today and they're calling for the head of Andy Reid. Saying it was a horrible slap in the face to ol' Donovan pulling him mid-game like that.
They said he didn't even tell him he was out of the game, he made the QB coach do it.
Listening to ESPN today they're making it sound like things are pretty ugly in the city of brotherly love.
They are and have been all year. When you have a team that on a regular basis can't convert 3 and 1 by running the ball, you have problems. That was the rumor I heard too, that Reid didn't tell McNabb he was sitting or Kolb that he was playing. I didn't really see much of the game. McNabb always starts the game bad. Refusing to run or being able to run the ball makes it worse.
When Reid calls the plays, the Eagles just don't play well. For some reason when Reid lets the offensive coordinator do his job alone, they thrive and respond better. I don't know why McNabb hasn't been allowed to learn to make play decisions on his own too. People have wanted Reid's head for a few years.
They play Thursday night against the Cardinals. The Eagles will most likely get their butts kicked.

If you had a chance to see the Eagles at the Bengals last week, then you know how bad they have struggled. How can you tie a 1-8 team? The sad thing is the Eagles should have beaten the Bengals, Bears, Redskins and Giants. They had the opportunites and couldn't convert for 7 points on 1st and goal from inside the five. If they would have done that, they would atop the division with the Giants and not in the basement.
It has been a tough year. They have ticked me off. It makes it so hard to watch the game.

I know that a tie is rare in the NFL, but why is it that we as fans knew that rule. Nevermind the speech the ref gives before the OT coin toss. Dumbass. The Eagles played with no urgentcy and deserved to lose that game too.

Sorry 'bout that Fuzz. It just made me think about how Johnny always states the obvious. "If ya get the ball in the end zone, that's a touchdown. BOOM!"
I've heard people say it's time for him to hang it up, but I love the guy. He's got just an absolute LOVE of the game and his dopiness is kind of fun to listen to.
He's better than those announcers that over-analyze everything.
