Pambo says to tell you she is NOT hoping to go home tomorrow. She's thinking that "Beepy" the pain meds button is her other best friend now and he really needs her to stay with him.
When she does get sprung from here, she will pretty much have to go home and lurk around there for a while. One way or another I will be bringing Thanksgiving dinner to her. Just need her to cooperate a bit and get released for eating real food.

I hear her on the pain meds, especially since she was without them for a few days before she had her surgery. I remember when I had my med drip and they told me I could press it every five minutes for a new dose, I sat and stared at the clock and never missed a beat!
Hopefully she can ease off all that stuff soon though... that would be best. Is her family having a Thanksgiving without her?
They have resumed most of her regular meds she was taking for the TN, so that is a positive step.
I talked with Richard about Thanksgiving plans. I gather that he and the kids are going to try to keep the normal schedule. They will go by his mother's house for a while, probably will stop by Pambo's mom's house and then will likely end up at my place. Mine is usually the last stop of the day because Richard has a real thing for the cookies and homemade ice cream. I brought him some cookies yesterday... Pambo said at about 2PM he was already fussing about needing some more. This is why we call them "cookie heroin"... folks just go junkie on me.

Well glad that her family will still celebrate together. Well I am gonna hit the sack. Talk to you tomorrow. Tell Pambo I am praying for her and to keep up her spirits that really helps!
Pambo is home from the hospital. She was released to go home at about 7PM.
I figured she would be out today. Yesterday when I stopped by it was obvious she was feeling much better. Soon as I walked in, she flipped me the bird and told me I was a bastage for not bringing her laptop and MY aircard to her so she could mess around on the internet.

I asked her if I was supposed to bring all that... like did she ask me to and I just forgot. She said "no ya bastage, you're just supposed to KNOW I want you to". Cracked me up. She's back to being her.

Its nice when someone knows you so well that there is a short hand in play...but thats why we have mouths...to say what is on our minds and erase all doubt.
Soon as Richard saw that I brought my computer the first day, he fussed at me because Pambo wants an air card of her own and she would surely mention it to him. She did. I don't imagine she would have been with it enough to mess with her computer anyway.

That is kind of what we are thinking. She does a lot of online shopping anyway, so it will all work out. Probably the hardest part for her is not being able to play with her grandkids so much.

Very much so... in addition to all of the other stuff, Grandma is supposed to be a climb on toy. In a little guy's world, its just not right if Grandma doesn't pick you up.

You got the old school grandma. Nothing wrong with that. Pambo and I are of the "wasn't ready to be a grandma yet" generation, so we do things a little differently.

I didn't know either of my grandfathers either. One was definitely deceased before I was born, not too sure when the other one died but gather that he already has. I think I saw my mom's mom maybe 3 times in my life. She lived in Michigan and mom hated going home. I saw my dad's mom twice. They were not close.
I didn't get the extended family experience much growing up. That is probably why I like to do the big family stuff today. I want my grandkids to have that sense of continuity.
