Put up your tree yet?

We got a tree Saturday and I am glad that it is over. I have some more ornaments to hang, but I am holding out on Ruby and to see what she does when she is home alone with the tree.

I don't put up a tree at my place, but I helped put up 2 trees over the long weekend, and am slated to help with one more next weekend.

I don't know if I'm going to put up a tree this year. Since we're having a party for Brian's birthday this year, I wouldn't decorate for Christmas until after the party, and I'm just not feeling it this year.

not sure we are going to or not. At the old house we didn't because we didn't have room. Sometimes put up lights though. We do have a spot in the apartment if we want. I will be getting the mini-tree made of lights out though. I couldn't find it last year.

I'll probably put our's up in about 2 weeks.  I love Christmas and usually go crazy decorating the inside and outside of our house, but it's always such a job to take it all down and pack it away after the holidays.  I think I'm gonna scale back this year and just do the tree.

We bought a new artificial tree Saturday.

Its still in the box because we're not planning on decorating until this weekend.

Today, I see in the paper that the tree we bought on Saturday that is still in the box in our living room will be 30% off tomorrow. I called the store and asked if they could do anything he said to bring the in the receipt and they would credit us the difference. clap.gif

It was a $200 tree so we're talking $60.00 back.

Good for you Web.

I usually take care of the outside lights and wreath on the door by December 1st. Depending on when that falls, I usually get the inside of the house done too. I don't put the tree up until about two weeks before Christmas. I decided quite a number of months ago to skip the holidays. It is working so far. I know I won't get away with it for Christmas. So, no tree in my house this year. On Saturday I did hang the outside lights, put the wreath on the door and put out the ceramic lit tree that was my mom's and grandmom's before that. And maybe a snowman somewhere. That's it. I'm done. I probably would have skipped Christmas last year too, but it was at my house so it was kind of hard not to decorate.

The tree and the decorations outside all went up yesterday between the rain storms! Looks great this year!
