I always think its one song, but turns out its a different song

hey!

do you ever hear a song start up and think its gonna be one song, but its a different song instead?

For instance, whenever I hear "Thats not her Style" by Billie Joel, the intro always throws me off and I think its gonna be Aretha Franklin's version of Jumping Jack Flash....

I've got a ton of these, but I never remember what they are until they play.

I dunno. I think LS would be more likely to win Name That Tune with one note.

FOr a second I thought Rick Springfield's "Love Somebody" was Bob Segers "Rock & Roll Never Forgets"

Kid Rock's All Summer Long... but for the life of me, I can't remember the melody he ripped off for that one.

He used two songs Mema - Sweet Home Alabama and Werewolves of London.

That's right... I always get disappointed when it isn't Werewolves of London.

I remember the first time I heard that song. It was while we were playing summer darts. I too thought it was Werewolves of London. And I was faked out. Then I was all confuzzed when I heard the other song mixed in. Very rarely do you hear two different songs, let alone two songs by different artists in one new song.

Quarterflash- walking on ice sounds very similar to Debbie Harry's 2 times blue at the biginning...well I guess the quarterflash song came first....

This is a good thread.

At the very beginning, Rihanna's "Disturbia" sounds like the beginning of Robbie Williams' "Win Some, Lose Some". I always think the "I love you ba-beee!" is gonna come in, but it's Rihanna.

Thanks LS!

The way Madonna's "Miles Away" starts with the beat always makes me think it's Pink's "Stupid Girls."
