Be warned, Ruby requested BAND-AID's "Do they know it's Christmas" (one of my favorite Christmas songs) but because it's two-fer Tuesday the system is gonna play the one she requested and then the long version.

There are no other BAND-AID songs to double up, so it had to play the same song, different versions.  hmm.gif

Get ready for 13 minutes of DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS smile.gif

Oh I was raised a Catholic, I just have chosen to go to a Methodist church lately. Less guilt, but mine is embedded!

Probably not, Ruby... one can only be guilted so much.

I'm currently at odds with that particular church. It's next door to Donald's house. One of their representatives showed up at the hospital the day Donald died to try to talk me into donating his house and property to the church.... this while we were standing next to the death bed and he was still sucking air. no.gif Granted, he did tell them that I am a business minded person, but that was a bit excessive to me.

I know they are not all like that. Still, that is one of the things I respect about the Methodist church... all the God with like half the guilt. smile.gif

Shoulda seen the "sympathy" card he sent me. If you didn't live in my house when I was growing up, you have no business talking smack on the old man to me. I called their real estate lady and told her if that dude ever contacted me again, I would file a restraining order.

Good luck to you with your new church. I hope it works out for you. As for me, I'm not much on organized religion. I figure God hears me just fine from where I pray. smile.gif

A church tried to do something similar to that to Brian's dad. (Not Catholic though, a different church.) His dad was in ICU after an emergency surgery after his aorta burst. They came in at a time when there wasn't a single family member there (which is very odd, one of us was there at practically all times). They didn't check in with the nurses, walked into his room, flipped the lights on, and tried to get him to wake up (he was in an induced coma at the time). When they did that, he had the stroke that made his family decide to take him off of life support.

That is awful, Mz.

I really don't have a grudge with the church in general. Just that one specific dude who is their business manager. Not crazy about their lawyer either. Their real estate lady is nice. I think the priest is a distant cousin on my mom's side... same family name and from the same general area as some of my people.

That is beyond terrible Mz. Sometimes people are so insensitive and only thinking or watching out for themselves and what may make them look better. I definitely had to kick this guy's ass. And make him very fearful of me. I would have threatened to take everything he had and everything from the church he worked for.

Have I mentioned lately that I don't like people?
