Okay, so who can figure out how long OJ will be in jail?

We were just watching CNN while having lunch and the Simpson sentencing is today. After some babbling by the gulity parties and the judge, she read the counts and the time. It was lenghty and no one could figure out exactly how much time he got. I think it was between 20 and 25 years. I wonder if someone will translate all the crap into years.

Yeah, the CNN woman even said she was lost. It was funny the way she said it too. All we know is that they both got time. It seemed like quite a bit too. There were minimum counts for most things and they were to run consecutively. He wasn't going to be able to serve one length to cover everything.

She said that early on in her monologue. There were two counts with a fixed term of fifteen years. But eligible for paraole on five. I wasn't sure how that worked. But I guees that means he has to do at least five. So that eould then be five, five, and then all the other counts added must be five. My original guess was 15 or 20 years.

He's gonna have to serve at least 5 of the 15 year sentence, then he has to serve two different 18 month- 6 year terms. These run consecutively, not concurrently, so he'll have to do at least 8 years in the pokey (watch out OJ, Bubba is after you to be his girlfriend).

I'm guess that he'll do about 10

MSNBC says with probation the earliest he could be out is nine years, if he serves the entire sentence it would be 33.

So he won't see daylight until he's 70 at the earliest.

I'm not sure if I'm happy about this or not though.

How is he ever going to find Nicole's killer if he's locked up? confused.gif
