Pearl Harbor Day

Today is the 67th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Please take a moment out of your day to commemorate this event and remember those who lost their lives not only in this event, but in the whole of World War II. It's really very overwhelming if you think about it.

Last year I watched a history channel documentary and I agree, it was very overwhelming. I'm sure if I'd been alive back then I would have felt very much like I did on 9/11.

I always tell people I feel like 9/11 was our generations Pearl Harbor.

How quickly we forget.

I saw nothing on tv this year commemorating the assassination of JFK on November 22nd (45th anniversary).

Or on Pearl harbor.

Thanks for the reminder M. smile

I heard on the news this morning that there was going to be a ceremony at the memorial in Pearl Harbor. Didn't hear anything about events at the new memorial in D.C. That, by the way, is truly a sight to behold. I visited it when I was there back in August.
