Good morning all! I get an extra day of Christmas vacation because all of our schools are closed due to the weather. It's been snowing extremely hard here since 5:00 this morning and it's supposed to continue through most of the day. They are predicting 8-10 inches for me; I think Woo's area is supposed to get a foot or more. Anyway I won't be going out anywhere today.....good day to stay inside and play!
We've got weird weather here today. It's currently 57 degrees here in Bloomington, but it's only 34 in downtown Indy! It's raining still, so I'm happy for the warm-up, otherwise it would all be ice again. But it's really windy. With the warm and cold weather together, I'm surprised there's no thunderstorm or tornado watches.
Mz, I'm glad you're not getting all the freezing rain that's occuring north of you. Hopefully you'll stay on the warm side of the storm with no severe weather!
Good morning! I went outside to see how bad the snowfall is and whether or not I could dig my car out. Yeah. No chance. Even if I got out, I'd be stuck in a matter of moments. So it's officially a SNOW DAY!!!
My car currently looks a lot like this one...
The snowfall is 9.5" and visibility of .2 miles, way worse than it was 30 minutes ago. I think that calls for some coffee at home this morning.

Morning all. Happy snow day to those to which it applies. We have rain and temps hovering right above freezing. We are currently right below the ice/snow line. The north can keep it. We may see the sun on Monday.
As for me, I am in the office, although I could use a nap, and will be continuing day two of completing a bunch of short tasks.

Holy cow G-gal, you guys already have a lot of snow! Maybe you can get your sweetie to dig your car out for you.....after he gets his dug out, of course.

I was amazed...the sidewalks were clear when I went to bed around midnight, and by 6 AM we had enough snow on the sidewalks to almost come up to my knees. Since I was covered in snow anyway, made a snow angel before I came back in. It's been a long time since I did that.

I've got a big shipping container coming to my house later this afternoon. I'm gonna put all the snow that's in my driveway and on the sidewalks in it, then I'm Fed Exing it overnight to JR. I'm paying the guys extra to dump it in his driveway tomorrow morning.
its our last day of + temps...back to the - tomorrow...of course. This is the first Friday I have had off of work since I was on vacation in August...its going to be nice to have a friday night off for once.
Yep it is a snow day. The Christmas party will have to be on Tuesday now. I was a bit worried they weren't gonna call it. We probably could have got to work but when it was time to take people home, I don't think we would have enough vehicles to pull the vans out of ditches and whatnot. Jut got out of bed although I couldn't sleep. So I basically have been up since 5am. hubby just left to go to work. He has a few things to take care of plus if he works just a few hours he will make up his time since he has so much overtime this week. Me, I'm just taking a vac day.

We only have about 3" of snow here. It was enough that I got the snow blower out. I spent the last hour working on that here at the office. I'll work on home and grandmother later today.
We got snow, and I woke up with a headache, but I'm feeling pretty good today. My wife gave me a nice complement last night about something that is pretty important to me. That made me feel good. Yay me!
