Saturday before Christmas

I will not be nearing the mall today! No real plans. It is gonna be warm again, but start to cool down tomorrow night. I wrapped almost everything last night while I drank my adult beverage- white zinfandel!

Morning all. I need to buy one last gift online. All other presents wrapped. Still need to do cards and cookies.

It was a good day yesterday with the grandkids. I met Chris up at the hospital to drop them off. The Dr decided to put in a stent to help Anna pass kidney stones easier. She will likely go home from the hospital today.

Haven't looked outside yet, but we are supposed to have snow showers today. Think I'll be sticking close to home.

Oh yeah... adult beverages successfully consumed late last night. Couple shots of Jack... I slept well. smile.gif

Howdy.

The word for the day is cold.

Its going to be a busy afternoon. We've got the food co-op pickup at 2:00 and then at 3:00 is practice for the church Christmas drama. The kids are singing in one part and then later, the praise team are playing a song for a group playing carolers in the drama.

Weew, gazebo night last night. Stayed up until 1am sippin' and talkin' with the neighbors. Vodka and tonic.
Grill some birds for din last night also.
Slept in got up and watch some Pee Wee's Playhouse.
Malls and stuff this afternoon. Fondue party tonight. Hmm.
Take care see ya!

did some shoveling out last night and then went for a fish fry at a place up the block. Had some big-azz Weiss Beers too. Came back, watched The Bells of St. Marys with some nice decaf coffee adult drinkies.

Today I must do some Christmas buying. I don't go Christmas shopping. I go Christmas buying. I know what I want, I get in, get it, and get the hell out.

I got my holiday food and drink shopping done today. Grocery store was horrendous!! I'm planning on mixing up a batch or two of margaritas tonight; I feel the need to get a little buzzed. biggrin

Last night I watched the movie The Strangers.  I thought it was waaay scary!!  It caused me to have nightmares most of the night. hmm

We're supposed to get another 4-6 inches of snow late tonight, early tomorrow morning......this on top of the 12 inches we got yesterday. Will someone please turn off the snow making machines now??  We have enough to last all winter, don't really need anymore.

While I was out today, I noticed that all of the side streets here are impassable; the city says they're not going to plow any of them this winter. I don't know how people that live on them are supposed to get in and out.  Crazy that we pay such high property taxes, but they can't even plow the streets!!   angered.gif

Margarita sound good, Ghost! Enjoy that. I'm watching the football game right now, but really need to get me back to my Christmas baking. I got some fudge made today, but have lots more to do.

They are not plowing the side streets?!? That is just CRAZY. I guess they must figure the people will fend for themselves. no.gif I wonder what will happen the first time someone needs emergency help and can't get it because the streets aren't plowed. hmm.gif
