Morning all! It's supposed to be in the single digits here all day, with a wind chill of about -10. BRRRRR! My plan is to stay in the house as much as possible. I have so much to do around here and let's not forget the football watching! giggle.gif

Its -6 now with a wind chill of -26. Too stinkin' cold.

very windy here. I think it says it's 9 out but I'm not sure if that's with wind chill or not. Yesterday was Christmas brunch with my sister and some of her friends. The big shocker was to hear that she was pregnant. She is 43 and she has 4 kids and he has 2 of his own! The brunch itself was ok, but I noticed I was very tired. Came home and both of us slept for quite a bit. Been catching up on some shows on DVR. Also heard that another one of my shows is moving to Thurs in January. I may scream!! Eventually they will force me to choose and will lose out on a viewer.

Right now I am doing some laundry and later we have bowling.

Our temps have been all over the board today, from as low as -6 to as high as -2.  Right now at 3:30 PM it's -4 at Miller Park (where my weatherbug monitors the temp from).

Wind chills from -20 to -40.

Someone remind me why I came back from North Carolina again?  confused.gif

If it helps Riggs, I was forced to move to Kansas from North Carolina by my parents when I was a kid. I have had a whole lifetime of being deprived of the good weather there.

Wow Woo. I could not imagine having another kid in that situation! I will pray for all of them.

It was 70 this morning, but now it is about 55 and the wind is whipping. I took Ruby for a long walk this morning and listened to my book on tape.

We took E to see Santa and bought a few gifts. I am gonna head to Walmart to buy some grub.

It should be hot in my house right now. I've had the oven on all day baking, I have a radiator style heater going in the front room, and of course the furnace going. It is only 1/2 degree warmer than the heater would have it normally. hmm.gif

Good evening all.  Man, has the wind been howling here all day!!  We've had sustained winds of 40 mph with gusts approaching 60 mph!!!  It's also been snowing, and between the new snow and all the snow from Friday blowing around, I now have 5 ft. drifts all around my house. The streets are all drifted shut, no plows out today as it would be senseless for them to plow with this kind of wind.  All I can see of my car is the very top of it.  It was a very good day to stay inside! nod.gif

they are talking heavy snows here tuesday and then christmas eve too. While I love my family and the tradition of getting together out at my folks house, I'm not driving in bad stormy weather to get there. disbelief.gif

Yeah, I saw that today on the national weather.  Once it's done in your area, it's heading for us. cry  I talked to my brother today, and he said he may not make it in for Christmas because we're supposed to get more snow on the 24th-25th.  He lives about 80 miles north of me so it would be a long, nasty drive for him.

Yucatan? Okay!

When I left Northern Indiana this morning, it was -6 before windchill. I hate winter. And everything was icy and it was windy, and the first half of the drive was hell.

But I think my sister had a good birthday. After her party with family at home, I took her, her boyfriend, and her best friend out roller skating. I found out roller skating is not like riding a bike, you do have to learn it all over again. It had been at least 10 years since I was last on a pair of skates. And I always had my own, this was the first time I had to use rentals. Rental skates suck. I did eventually get the hang of it again and got out on the floor. But there was no skate dancing or skating backwards or any of that stuff I used to do, I had a hard enough time keeping up with the crowd without embarrassing myself. Again.

Hahaha! Oh I can relate Mz. The last time I got on rollerskates, I thought I was a calamity waiting to happen at first. I felt ooooooold! Hey good for you for being a good sport about it though and giving her a great b-day memory! smile

Yeah, I put on the skates, headed for the floor, and about ended up sprawled out and run over! After my awkward lap, my sister was waiting for me, hugged me, and said she loved me. And then suggested I practice on the carpet for a while.

rofl.gif Too cute but too funny! Last time I skated I was the adult skating with all the clumsy little kids, so don't feel bad. Did you experience that moment of terror when you saw someone wipe out in front of you and you didn't know if you could avoid the wreck?
