Good day all! I just took Brian to work, so I'm up early, but I have the day off. Jack has realized that I'm not going into work, so he's not leaving me alone. (It's amazing that I can even type through the fur in my face.) I'm just killing some time until the bank and the stores open. Hm, I'd bet it would be just enough time to watch a movie...
In the office today but wishing I were at the stores. Gotta Work at Dillards tonight. Dont want to be here. Thats ok tho. On Jan 9th its my last day at Capital One and I am moving on to bigger and MUCH better things. Going to Blue Cross Blue Shield. benifits and pay are soooooooooo much better.
Good Morning everyone, I have to say I had a very nice Christmas this year. It was a lot less stress than previous years. I swear I must be the only one in Rapid City that has to work today, the streets were deserted!

Man, I REALLY didn't want to get up this morning... Looks like it's only going to be me, THE MAN and the office peeper today -- maybe we'll get to leave early (why are we even here?).
My Secret Santa was MZ. She sent me a Cookie Kit -- cutters, cookie mix, frosting and sprinkles! Stayed up Christmas Eve and made Santa some cookies! Thanks again MZ!
Christmas Day was spent at the in-laws and it was such a nice day the boys stayed outside most of the day playing football while we old fogies harked back to Christmas past.
Hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas!

Which reminds me, I need to make me a cup of the Boston tea that Darlene got me to take with me while I'm out shopping. I've used a couple of the chamomile, but today I have to decide whether to go with ginseng or pineapple-ginger. (I'll save the shot-glasses and ice bucket for the harder stuff later tonight!)
Hi everybody! i hope you all had a nice holiday! I'm working today, but thank goodness it's kind of low-key around here today. A lot of people took off, so the interruptions are few and far between.
I had a wonderful two days of Christmas celebrations with family and friends. Even in times like this when money is tight, it's nice to see everyone just enjoying each other and cherishing those small tokens of affection far more than any expensive or elaborate gift. The happiness and love in their eyes - that's the most beautiful vision of the holiday to me.
Don't mind me, I'm still on a post-holiday emotional high. have a great day!

Good morning all. I'm really glad I didn't have to go into work today; I'm worn out from the holiday.....my recovery time has gotten longer as I get older. At least I don't have to cook today; lots of left-overs that will only need to be popped into the microwave whenever anyone gets hungry.
The weather is still crappy here. We're supposed to get freezing rain/sleet this afternoon. Winter can roll itself back up and leave any time now. I wish Santa would have left me a plane ticket to some place where it's warm!!!
oh hello. I am at work today, but helping out on the print floor. its break time, so I came to sit here for a bit. I hope everyone had a nice holiday. i did.

Morning all. I'm just now getting up and around. I decided to let me sleep in as long as I could today since I didn't get much sleep these last couple days. I had a good time with my family and friends this week. That is much better than gifts, but I got some very nice stuff too. Today's plan is just to relax.

Good afternoon all. Looks like everyone had a good Christmas, I'm glad
I'm making my first loaf of bread right now. I went to the store and dumped $100 on stuff to make bread Besides all the herbs, spices, flour, etc. I also got a couple pre-made box kits for future loafs. I also needed stuff like a bread container, a bread knife, containers for the flour and stuff. All those things I used to have but sold or threw away for my ill-advised southern vacation this year.
In only three short hours I should have my first loaf of home-made bread
Hopefully in only an hour or so the house will be filled with that great smell!
