Last night I was watching my DVD's of season four of Saturday Night Live.
They did a parody called THE PEPSI SYNDROME, and it made me want to watch the real movie THE CHINA SYNDROME. I remember bits and peices of it, but I was pretty young back then and didn't see the whole movie.
I checked Netflix and the movie is available for online viewing So I think I'm off to go watch that.
It's interesting watching SNL from 1978. The nuclear accident was big news and it was on weekend update a lot. It's all jokes, but there's enough there that you get the idea of some of the fears we were going through at the time.
Same with the gas shortages. They're talking about that a lot on SNL. $2.50 and even $3.00 gas. Stations that have closed up because there's no gas.
