I just saw a commercial for a new "reality TV" show called True Beauty. Apparently the premise is to get together a bunch of the "beautiful people", make them think they are in a contest for who is "hottest of them all", while secretly rating them on how exactly horrible they really are as human beings. WHY for the love of God does this need to be a TV show?

I saw that too. Looks like they've found some folks who are REALLY conceited too.
Still not the lowest of lows. I think that was when they almost put that CHAINS OF LOVE show on where five or six guys were gonna be chained to a woman and be voted off one at a time.
I'm just kind of thinking, "Didn't we all learn this about most of the 'pretty people' back in high school?" Do we really need to waste any of the precious minutes of our lives listening to these vacuous bimbos say "Look at me! I'm a 10! I'm beautiful!" while they act like complete arses?
Never heard of the other show you mentioned... but that sounds HEINOUS!!! Who would think that is a good idea? Chain someone to someone else?!? How could anyone have the patience for that?

After being stuck with regular network tv for the past few months I'm really considering activating my satellite dish again. I didn't realize how bad regular tv has become until I cancelled my subscription and caught some of these shows.
Probably so...that is exactly what it seems like. I almost vomited when they were talking to this one little blonde girl who actually something like "I know I'm a 10, cuz well... just look at me!" These people need some help!!

Yeah, but I bet there will be a lot of people that tune in every week. Someone has to be watching this kind of stuff, otherwise they wouldn't keep coming up with all these types of shows.
Probably true. There is probably a large contingent of people who feel like they are or were oppressed by the "beautiful people" and would like to see them get made to look foolish publicly.
