nothing new with my apt. Carpet is supposed to get cleaned today. We went up to the office so hubby could tell them that we are expecting something from them since this is the 4th major flood since May. First flood we got a wk off, 2nd got 2 days, 3rd all we got was grief. That was the time maintenance and hubby got into it over whether there was mold or not. It looks like we may have another new property mgr and he doesn't want to discuss compensation until we are all cleaned up. I don't have a good feeling. At this point hubby is ready to lawyer up if we don't get anything. He already called the insurance company to verify whether we could have claimed the flood with renter's insurance and that was a no. Flood is not covered and they would just go after the complex anyway because we were not at fault. All this drama just keeps making me sick.

Worked out again this morning. But I'm still tired. I slept hard last night and didn't want to wake up this morning.
I've still got a cough from my cold, and it's starting to get annoying. It's just a wheezy unproductive cough.
Good luck Woo. It does sound like they need some "motivation" to treat you guys better.
We signed our lease for the next year last night. As an "incentive" for signing it early, we get our carpets cleaned. Nevermind the fact that we've been there for almost 7 years. I miss our old property manager.
I made it to the office a little earlier today as we had the first staff beating of the year this morning. Why is it that the mohicans will go on the war path over a simple update to the format in which they receive today... like somebody added a column to a spreadsheet... but they don't even flinch when you tell them that our primary equipment vendor is on the verge of filing chapter 7? In the grand scheme of things, one is of no consequence... the other will cause a vast overhaul in EVERYTHING about your job.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
All of these horoscopes have a lucky stew on them, which I thought was weird. And mine just has the usual "you will do well in business" drivel. But his says to "Plan a camping trip to connect with nature and clear your mind." Maybe he's just supposed to plan on it, but not actually do it.
Good afternoon all. We got around 4 inches of snow last night and this morning, but the temperature isn't too bad yet; it's 17 and wind chill is 4. The extreme cold is supposed to move in tonight and tomorrow; they're predicting wind chill of -20! If it gets that cold we may not have school tomorrow due to the number of kids that walk to school. I could due with a day off, so we'll see what happens.
When I got home from work today, my oldest girl had the driveway and sidewalks all shoveled off. She said she didn't have anything else to do when she got out of work, and she thought she'd take care of the snow now before it gets really cold so I wouldn't have to go out and do it. Sometimes my teenagers really surprise me.

My wife was telling me about her coworker that is going through the divorce . . .
They live(d) on a farm about 3 miles from town. A couple months ago, she got a house in town and moved there. He stayed in the country. They have two dogs, a small one and a big German Shepherd. She took the small one and the big one stayed with him in the country.
A couple days ago, she heard something and looked out and the dog was standing on her deck looking in the patio door.
She had taken him with her ONE TIME when she went into her new house for something. On his own, he left "home", went into town and found her house again after only being there that one time.
