oh hello nerd.gif

my car won't start again today, after briefly starting last night after a jump. I'm waiting to see if G-gals car will start, if so, she will be my chauffer today. If not, looks like I will be taxing it.

I'm pretty annoyed that my car won't start. after the freeze, I'll have the battery checked out and replaced, if necessary. Its only 4 yrs old, didn't think that was that old...

I have a 4 day weekend! clap.gif  Schools are closed today because the wind chill is in the -25 to -30 range, and Monday is MLK day. 


Sorry your car won't start again JD.  When it gets this cold for a few days it doesn't take much to zap a car battery.  I have to go out and see if mine starts today......yesterday it moaned and groaned a little before firing up.

It's chilly here....but its a heat box compared to the rest of you (Only gonna be 59 today!) Off to Tampa tomorrow to pick up my Super Bowl volunteer stuff. Gonna spend two days (Sun 25th and Sat 31st) as a volunteer for the NFL Experience at the Super Bowl in Tampa. Should be fun! Then after my shift on the 31st, we have to hsutle to come back to Orlando to see The Eages in concert......

I got a 4 day weekend as well. Work closed due to the cold. Hubby has to go in for a few to help build shelves though. I need to jump in the shower since I don't know when the apt complex people will be out to investigate our complaint over the last flood. We told them we wouldn't be home but here I am now.

Morning all. Brrrrr. It was 11 degrees when I left the house this morning. There is some wind. Buitthe sun is out, big and bright. I know that is probably still not as cold as most of you.

Left work late last night. So I want to get through my list of nine things today. I can probably get 5 of them done within two hours. So go me. Work on.

It is very peaceful here this morning. We got a fresh dusting of powder overnight and it is absolutely calm. Even though its 15 degrees, it seems pretty nice and peaceful outside. We're supposed to get to the low 40's today.

This weekend is going to be busy, but its Friday!

I'm back from the doctor. I'm having an allergic reaction, like I expected. She gave me a prescription for Singulair and told me to take Benedryl on top of it. I'm at work this morning so I can finish a few things up, then I'm probably going to take the Benedryl and go home since it makes me sleepy, then get up and go work at the tax office tonight.

if i had a little pillow i could fall asleep at may desk yawn.gif

today begins what i'm calling the never ending birthday. Isaac will be 6 on Monday, but there is no school, therefore, today was his day to bring in snack (cupcakes & drinks); tomorrow Jacob and I are taking Isaac and his best buddy to Laser Quest; Sunday, Grama & Grampa are coming over for B-day festivities after church (super & cake/ice cream); Monday, as I mentioned, no school. Therefore, he will go to daycare, where once again there will be cupcakes and ice cream. And of course a brief private family celebration (probably leftover cake) when we get home since it's the actual B-day....

That is just ridiculous!

Duane and I have decided that Emily needs 'princess' training, starting this weekend. She is so rough around the edges. So we will begin her training for home economics so she will ready for Isaac. No moving tho... I will ship her to him when she is 18! smile

BRRRRRRRRRRRR! This is crazy cold ain't it? -10 here right now. I haven't started my car yet but yesterday it sounded like a wounded bear when I started it. The thing let out a long, loud groan. hmm.gif

In my infinite wisdom I held off on getting a haircut until yesterday because my barber is an old dude and the majority of his business is other old dudes in the neighborhood who walk there mostly just to be social and get a trim. I don't think I've ever seen anyone under 65 in his chair other than me.

Well anyway, my plan backfired as he was closed. He probably thought just like I did that no one would show up. I'll bet he's closed today too which means I'll have to wait until Monday for a haircut. Then it'll be packed because everyone who would have went THU & FRI will show up.

A perfect example of how over-planning can backfire on me crying.gif

Oh well. I hope everyone has a great day.

Hello again all! When I got up this morning, first thing I did was look out the window because I knew it was supposed to snow a little over night. Indeed it had. Nothing big, just a dusting... so on about my getting ready for work. Since it was still snowing, I decided to drag it a little to miss the traffic. Left the house at about 8:50... there was about 1 inch of snow and it was still coming down pretty good for supposed to be done snowing by 9 or 9:30. The drive normally takes 20-25 minutes. I got to the highway and it was at a dead stop... turned around and backtracked a couple miles to the direct route to the campus. It was bumper to bumper, stop light to stop light. Ended up backtracking another 8 blocks to get across to the office.

All that for what? It's me and a handfull of other people. hmm.gif

Wow...sounds like we will have the high temp for the day. Its forcasted at 60! LOL...thats just plain funny. We do have about 3 inches of snow on the ground and still have mountains of it where it was plowed too but I bet most of it will be gone by monday.


I just spent a $60 on playhouse disney live tickets....I know a little girl thats going to freak out! Oh well...she will only be young once.
