I'm pretty annoyed that my car won't start. after the freeze, I'll have the battery checked out and replaced, if necessary. Its only 4 yrs old, didn't think that was that old...

Be sure to have the person installing check the charging system. I don't want to be mr. doom & gloom but, it's reality. Is your car the first year for the Mazda3?

Could be worse, Squonk. As long as I remain employed under my present terms, my first vacation is a "staycation" in May where my travel involves driving the 2 miles each direction between my house and Home Depot. My second is a road trip to Detroit in July when the pterodactyl skeeters are out in force.

I was hoping you'd show up. You're fun.
What draws me back to FFR... Mema, Ghost, JD, JR, Hartz.
It's weird, sometimes, I think you can relate to me.
Okay, what is "pterodactyl skeeters" can you clear it up with some kind of topical?

Hey Squonk, do you mind if I add a few carriage returns to your snores? They're keeping me up.

LMAO... I really do like you Squonk. Strikes me that we have much in common. I truly appreciate your taste in cars. nod.gif

You live up north... have you never met the mosquitos around your area? THEY ARE FRIGGIN HUGE! I have family in Michigan... went to a family reunion several years back. I was sitting close to a campfire HOLDING a lit citronella candle in my lap and I could HEAR the mosquitos laughing at my silly arse!

Mz, you inspire me. yep, lame-o. I took on this "pro bono" work to get recent with published stuff. First out, they like my work. At my day job, I'm just another pain. I feel like I know too much for those stupid f@cks.

Are you really a "granny"? I mean, I could be a grandpa. My kid doesn't have any babies, so far.

I am! I'm not biologically speaking a grandma, but I "bought and paid for" my boys a long time ago. I have 2 step-sons. Over the years they have just become my kids. When their father and I split up, they both immediately responded to the situation by informing me that like it or not, I am still going to be their mom. I like it! My older boy (Jeremy - 32) had one son who is 5... his name is Walker. My younger boy (Christopher - 30) has two kids, Miah - 6 and Marshall - 3, and one on the way, due in April... a girl we think.

That's the great thing about pro-bono work, the appreciation is better than any money they could give you.  That's one of the reasons I left my old job.  I made them an awesome website content management system, pretty complicated stuff, and all they could do was ask for more.

That's so far out. I'm 47 and my ex has a boy with her third husband. So, my son has a little brother that is eleven. My son, one and only, is 23. My new wife, Mrs Squonk, as you all know her is 43. She helped me raise my boy. JD will tell you, he rocks. Sweet, committed, wonderful.

No babies.

That it way cool, Squonk! I'm 38, so I'm actually much closer in age to my boys than I am to their dad who is 51. Still, it is very much a parent/children relationship. I truly adore my boys. Couldn't imagine my life without them and my little "Larry, Moe, Squirrely, and soon to be Schemp".
