 I am kind of a nostalgic car buff, my collections are wierd and hard to find.


I collect old steering wheel spinners (also known as suicide knobs and Brody Knobs). I  have some with roses in them, pinup girls, dice, etc.


Collection #2. Old glass or plastic license plate reflectors. These are really hard to find!


#3. bicycle license plates like you used to get in the cereal boxes. I don't know if anyone remembers the DMV key tag license plates that they used to give you when you got your license plates but I also collect these. (these were really handy when someone asked for your license plate # and you didn't have to walk out to the parking lot to get it).

Through the enthusiastic help of a fan of mine, I have gotten back into (re-)collecting albums; many of which I disposed of/ were left along the way with the advent of cds. going back to the old school!


I also have pretty much every book that I have ever wanted. I also NEVER sold back any books that I needed for any college course I took- have many books of literature, poetry, philosophy, business, anthropology, and other humanities. I figure when I am able to retire, I can go back and revisit the wisdoms and arts with a new clarity and understanding bought about through living and aging. Hopefully the info in the books is timeless enough so as not to be refuted in my lifetime...

Wine and cocktail glasses, just because I've always been fascinated by them.


And sunglasses.  I have the hardest time throwing an old pair of sunglasses away, no matter how many peices they are in.  And, I've never spent more than $15 on a pair of sunglasses, so they usually aren't anything worth keeping.  I just threw out a whole bunch of broken or bent sunglasses, and it was a very hard thing to do.  Especially the pair with the pictures of butterflies on the lenses, they were so cool!

LOL, MzHartz, I had the OPPOSITE problem you did.


I couldn't keep a pair of sunglasses to save my life, I lost them at a pace of at least a pair a week, usually a lot faster than that.


I used to go to the store and buy a dozen $2.99 knockoffs of the Rayban Wayferers and then go to the dollar store and buy another dozen of various glasses.  They were EVERYWHERE, my glove compartment was full of em, my house was full of em.


I swear to God I still eventually ran out to where I had NONE, and in only a few months time!  I don't know what it is with sunglasses.


I finally decided to buy two pair of the REAL Raybans, figuring if I spent that much money on a couple pair of glasses I'd be sure to keep em.  Well.  I lost the nice cases in about a month and while I think I still have both pair, at any given time I may only be able to tell you where one pair is.


Actually, yesterday I went without cus I couldn't find them, then today I found a pair again :)


SAD HEY?  I don't do that with anything else.  I just have a problem with sunglasses

dang it I lost my sunglasses yesterday. I was ticked off- they were SO COOL and I got them at a dollar store. So I made a special trip out there to see if they had another pair, and of course they don't. I refused to pay $22 for something I end up breaking or losing at least once a year, so now I have a pair of $1 sunglasses that truely look like I paid 50 cents to much.

See, the perfect sunglasses are hard to find.  That's why any time I find a pair of sunglasses I think look good on me, I buy them!

I still have 3 huge boxes of MAD magazines from when I was a kid. I had a friend who looked just like Alfred E. Newman.


I also have an extensive pocket knife collection.
