So if someone wanted to spread nasty rumors about your affiliations with the communist party and make sure you didn't see it, Twitter would be a good place to do such a thing huh?

I do see most every post but hopefully people are not trying to send me life-and-death important info via Twitter.

By the way, it's 140 characters.

I've set my Twitter to update my Facebook status. And if you direct message me in Twitter, I also get an email and a text to my phone. So it's actually probably easier to get in touch with me by a DM than calling my home phone.

My PCS is my home phone, and largely my office phone as well. I set Twitter to deliver to my e-mail and my phone. Right now it's still "a bit stressed". Took over a half hour to let me add Pambo and Web so far.

For whatever reason, Twitter will allow you to text in a follow command even if the web isn't allowing you to add a user there. hmm.gif

The "d bassgeek" will send me a "direct message" which only I will get and it doesn't show in your public posts.

A "@bassgeek" will send me a reply but it will also show in your public posts.

Posting text with no special commands in front will post it to everyone in your list and show in your public posts.
