I am sure a lot of that money spent was security. But still, a lavish lunch that they don't need. I know. You are going to tell me that everyone before himgot a luncheon. Fine. Then limit it to just the house and senate, no bringing the husbands or wives.

Funny... me and the guys were talking about that at lunch. We were thinking that we could probably just fire up the color lazer jet and print up enough to pay off our homes, cars, credit cards, student loans....

The CNN talking heads were interviewing somebody who basically said that Teddy should have known better than to show up at that lunch given his health issues.

Can't really blame the guy for wanting to participate. Getting out of the bed in the morning is a roll of the dice for any of us. Granted, the added stress and excitement of something like this is harder on those who are ill... but its part of his job as a Senator to attend these State functions.

Apparently the reports are that the seizure was a result of exhaustion and that Teddy will be kicked loose from the hospital in the morning. Its good that it wasn't anything more serious.
