This is the song I want sung at my services. One of the many reasons I really like it because it's not religion-based. Also because it's from the viewpoint of the deceased, which feels comforting.
With You In Your Dreams
If I'm gone when you wake up please don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up, it's not goodbye Don't look back at this time as a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me, 'cause I'll be with you in your dreams I'll be with you
If I'm gone when you wake up please don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up don't ask why Don't look back at this time as a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me, cause I'll be with you in your dream
Don't cry I'm with you don't cry I'm by your side
And though my flesh is gone, I'll still be with you at all times And though my body is gone, I'll be there to comfort you at all times
I don't want you to cry and weep I want you to go on living your life I'm not sleeping an endless sleep 'Cause in your heart you have all of our good times All of our our good times

I'm sorry to hear your mother has passed away Dylan. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. Please take care of yourself during this difficult time. Also please know that we are here for you if you need us for anything.
I'm not either, but I figured I'd let him sleep a little before we talk about that again.
I'd suppose where we spend our vacation time is our business... if it happens to be in the vicinity of Milwaukee that is up to us. I have a laptop with unlimited mobile broadband... I could even cover on-call from the road if need be.

Dylan, really sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I always think, man what is it going to be like? I have a stepmother (51) and stepfather (72) and of course my birth parents plus my present wife's parents. (my ex-wife's parents have passed several years ago) It seems like it should be easy. I don't think it is. My father in law tried leaving us a couple of years ago. It was a strange day, standing around him, last rights etc. To be with your mother. I hope there is closure for you. I also hope that she passed quite, peaceful. I wish only strength through this for you. (as I hope others will wish me when I too have to face such a situation) Take care, Squonk. (Dan)

Just to let everybody know because I know we are all concerned, I did speak with Mike a little while ago. He's doing better today. Obviously this is a big hit and will take some time to sort through. He does appreciate everyones thoughts, prayers, and kind words. I gather he will be making the arrangements later on today. He will be back around the forum when things get a little more settled.

Thanks for the update, Mema.
